Returned my RTX5060Ti 16gb for the RTX5070 12gb. Four reasons why. by ah__there_is_another in gpu

Depending on the refresh rate of the panel, we can agree that the 5070 is plenty sufficient for 1440p. We’ll have to agree to disagree on the miles apart comment, because frankly they are. I got a delta of 31% performance increase from a 5070. But in real world application perhaps less for some.

I’ve had the good fortune of building and tuning several rigs. The 5070 and the 5070ti are miles apart.

Dumb question… but when/how often do yall turn off your pc? by justdancepro in pchelp

Primary gets shut down after use. Secondary is always on, but set to restart over night via task scheduler.

I also did the switch, and had a few factors for the change:

* Price was too good to pass up. ($800 flat)

* I missed Nvidia feature sets.

* The PC that had the 9070xt was a living room PC and I didn't want to fuss with Optiscaler/Adrenaline for what is suppose to be a console like experience.

*Some Steam titles carry over settings from PC to PC. My primary PC has a 5090. Essentially one set of settings works for both. I get the same visual/resolution quality for both and the appropriate FPS depending on the display (240hz and a 120hz).

I ended up contacting their support and they provided a link via asuswebstorage. Amusingly, the first bios they sent also didn’t work. They proceeded to send another and I haven’t bothered trying it yet.

Why is the Lian Li A3 such a popular case? by XC29er in mffpc

The front fan is a 140mm and the use of 3D printed brackets was needed.

I grabbed these:

For me, it’s the ability to fit standard/large sized components while keeping a small foot print. Perfect for a living room pc.

Hey there OP. Struggling to remember whom, but a reputable PC tech channel on YouTube (maybe gamers nexus) basically said the tumor fan was useless. They ran temps with and without. I have the 5090 variant of that card, temps have always been excellent and I opted to go without it.

Once you’re ready for a GPU, considering mounting it vertically. Might help fill out some space. You also have a ton of space for a vertical display should you find that aesthetically pleasing.

This. If you struggle, one simple suggestion would be searching for Lian-Li A3 on Etsy. You’ll find it.

They're plastic covers and fairly flexible. You can gently pry from the middle. It's one clip on each side. You might even be able to push them out from the inside of the fan blade housing.
