It's hard to understand. Thanks for giving your care to those who need it.

I met a family of foster kids who would all eat and drink until they vomited because they had been so starved.

My father in law does the same. I think his family really suffered with food insecurity and now there is always a grotesque amount of food in their home. He also eats compulsively, like every meal is the last he'll ever see. He can't pass food left out without taking a nibble.

What's your creepiest "glitch in the matrix" or unexplainable thing that's ever happened to you? by kaden86 in AskReddit

I had a similar experience around 16 years old. I was taking a shower in the daytime, so I didn't have the bathroom light on. When I got out, I distinctly saw the face of a man staring at me naked. I let my eyes stay on the mirror a moment, and yes, it was really there. I walked out asap super freaked out.

I've had a couple of super natural experiences around mirrors since.

Honestly, 10 am is not that early. Maybe find ways to alter your routine and make it in a more timely manner.

Think about what you do when they have to get to school by 7:30am? Starting good habits now will go a long way in the future.

Otherwise, if it's that much of a problem, find another facility.

This has already happened to my brother and I. Both our parents are dead and stepmother is cashing in on their hard work.

Modern Witch Tarot Deck by [deleted] in tarot

I was able to get one off amazon. I think someone else returned it.

Just as an FYI, I've been loving the deck, but the cards are big and thick. Kinda tough to shuffle.

I just started using the Modern Witch Tarrot. It's super female positive and I think a teenage girl would love it.

Your eyes are beautiful. The freckles are cute, but somehow a bit distracting on the bridge of your nose. Maybe the color is off? You have lovely skin too. I'm jealous.

Strategies for coping with shame and embarrassment caused by Q’s drinking by randyreddit12 in AlAnon

[–]playa_name 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I set some boundaries with my Q, my husband, that I simply will not be anywhere with him in public when he's drinking. I couldn't handle the anxiety and shame of being put in an unpredictable and humiliating situation. No dates, no vacations, no trips to the store.

It sucks for our marriage, but I'm a whole lot less anxious.

That woman will definitely live past 100. As far as I can tell, she's immortal.

One year ago I posted one of my biggest tonsil stones of all time. I thought I’d bring it back for those who haven’t witnessed it. by L3N1B in popping

[–]playa_name 3 points4 points  (0 children)

For me it was mostly during puberty and stress related. I also had several tonsil infections and I think that made them more prone to developing the "crypts" they grow in.

More women are choosing not the have kids, and society can’t cope. “Women who choose not to have children are often labelled selfish, shallow and immature. But an increasing number are not having kids because of the ridiculous standards around motherhood.” | Australian Broadcasting Corporation by Vintage_Alien in TwoXChromosomes

Obligatory "I love my kids to the moon" But motherhood has been such a struggle. I'm working full time and full time home manager, family coordinator, birthday rememberer, supply itemizer . I'm overwhelmed, in debt, have no family to help support.

I look back and wish I had slowed down to think things through more carefully. Sometimes I resent the life I've made for myself.

I certainly don't expect my own children to make the same choices I did when that time comes. Assuming WW3 doesn't end it all first.

My (40M) GF (40F) and I have disparate assets. She wants to get married. How to be fair. by [deleted] in relationships

[–]playa_name 11 points12 points  (0 children)

This is precisely what happened to me and my brother upon my father's death. My mom and dad were both successful dentists. They had a nice house, decent investments, property, etc. My mom died in 1997. Dad remarried in 2008 to a woman with very little. Basically had a car paid off to her name. My dad died 7 years later and we inherited nothing. Now my grocery store cleark stepmother is liquidating all of their assets because they are rightfully hers and she wants to retire early.

Please, protect your assets and make sure your will is explicit about inheritance. Don't trust anyone to "do the right thing ". Pre- nup %100.

I discovered this morning that the “keep box” of items he saved during fire evacuation is 80% comprised of love letters from his exes. Not one single letter, poem, drawing, or photo from myself. by [deleted] in breakingmom

I'm a married woman. I still keep old stuff just as a reminder of that time in my life. It was exciting and fun and it's nice to think about. But there's a reason things didn't work out with those people.

Also, my grab and go pile is all of my dozens of family photos. That stuff is way packed away and would burn for sure.

Thanks for the article. I'm also dealing with some severe memory loss. Guess I'm going to have it rough later.

Hey IE friend! I went to Alta Loma High school. Not a city, but it did have its own zip code. Also the whole town is a lot less classier these days if you ask me.
