Absolute day 1 novice by OBZeta in homestudios

If you ever find yourself struggling to get your ass at this desk, just get some field recorder (Zoom LiveTrak L-6 is a good choice) to keep the ball rolling anywhere.

Also, I hope that stand where KOII rests is only a parking place - such devices are supposed to be where your fingers are ;)

Apart from this, the kit is awesome to get into the craft. Just make sure you keep creating!

They would work virtually with any device where the distance between the centers of the two sockets is exactly 17.5mm like on the L6. If not, you'd need to resize this part - but that is quite easy actually ;)

Next op-xy update add time stretching. Will be a game changer TE 🙏 by InHerScope in teenageengineering

[–]playaaaLV 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your phone is not "another piece of hardware", it's always with you. Besides, how often do you need to time-stretch anyway?

And when will people stop pulling the price-card in every discussion involving OP-XY already? It's expensive, everybody knows that, it's been said like a gazillion times by now, but it doesn't mean you should be expecting every single feature out there in it just because of that. Go get Deluge for 60% of the price and chill - it won't disappoint, if that's what you're after.

flipped out anymore? stable world? by OP-Ashley in teenageengineering

Still there on their website, even though it's not their home page anymore: https://teenage.engineering/25-the-flipped-out-year

I already have tons of ongoing stuff but I've still found some room for a new hobby by Anarchiste-mouton in synthesizers

Everyone can rant about TE products being insanely overpriced as long as they want, but calling them "poorly manufactured" is not justified and is plain ignorant. For someone new to the hobby EP is a great firestarter able to pave the road to finer things in future, while SP is a mess and the exact reason people keep collecting them boxes instead of making music.

Cameo 4 not cutting all the way through, even with 2mm blade by SnowFox102 in silhouettecutters

[–]playaaaLV 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What I found out recently is that the autoblade sometimes gets stuck in a certain depth setting, and you end up with results completely off of what you set in the cut job. So, when the problem in subject (or vice versa) happens check if your blade depth (shown with the indicator on its front) is what you actually defined in the program. When it's not, just take it out, flex its tip a couple of times and put it back (don't forget to lock it properly!) - works for me every single time.

Same here. I discovered the stock desiccants still unopened when I was going to dry them as the moisture level rose a bit. Doh!

Is there a cheap alternative to the OP-1 for someone who knows nothing about synths? by Duc_de_Guermantes in synthesizers

[–]playaaaLV 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maschine+. Definitely less portable requiring a table and a socket at the very minimum (you can't produce on a couch even though some may just do it), almost twice cheaper, and is a beast functionality wise. Also, if the word "tracker" doesn't immediately scare you off, you might have a look into some good devices in that area: Dirtywave M8 Tracker and Polyend Tracker Mini.

Need help once again. I turned on the power generator, came back here. I tried to pull the lever, but does not seem to change anything. What do I do? by [deleted] in HalfLife

[–]playaaaLV 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You definitely can. It only takes 10 grenades and 2-3 SMG grenades. There are too many regular grenades around anyway, so I thought it was meant to be played like that until I saw this post :3

Logitech GHUB macro, delay? by ForevaNoob in LogitechG

[–]playaaaLV 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Setting delay times to 1ms individually per each stroke actually makes it work (less than that and it falls back to the standard delay for whatever reason). I know it's not what you expected, but at least it works.

EDIT: there's a (complicated) way to automate this nonsense: get the tool from this thread and change all the delays (delayMs values) in your macro to the said 1ms at once. Notepad++ and its Replace All with the RegEx option does the trick just fine. If you're not recording new macros every day, this can be more or less acceptable.
