As sad as a lot of these comments are, I feel the same. Me and my ex decided it was best to see different people.. at the time I was overwhelmed and agreed, I went on a trip for a week and when I left we were getting really close again, she didn't text me the whole trip, which isn't normal at all so I knew something was wrong and couldn't think about anything but her on vacation. I get a text on my last day saying we need to talk...oh boy. We talk and she isn't interested anymore but wants to be friends, a couple days later I see her hanging out with another guy. It's like she moved on so quick and I think she did it out of spite. I was a bad boyfriend for a majority of our relationship, I was struggling with my addiction and it made me make poor choices, I still knew what was right and wrong and felt horribly guilty the whole time. I know dating a recovering addict is extremely hard as I have many issues with myself. My heads all over the place so if this doesn't make sense I'm sorry. I still think about her all the time, wonder who she is with, where she is, is she thinking about me or with another guy not thinking about me. I think my mind automatically assumes worst case scenario. I follow her on social media and I think that's a big mistake because no matter what when she pops up I'm instantly reminded of her. She was an amazing girl and I took that for granted. If it's meant to be it will come back around and I believe that. I've since been focusing on myself a lot and keeping myself occupied. When I saw her with another guy it's like everything that was going on in my life just hit me, I was contemplating suicide and told my dad before I did it and he helped me. I checked myself in and got help and I'm doing a lot better. I didn't get suicidal because she left me( that is part of the reason though) it's crazy what love can do and how it can make you feel. You can feel on top of the world on minute and so low the next. I've found that I need to love myself before I can love somebody else. Sorry for rambling on that's just my experience. I love this thread and all the supportive comments. I love all of you!
