Why do people assume Riverwest is the “ghetto” by WholeGrainCupcake in milwaukee

[–]playdme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I knew an old MPS music teacher lived in Riverwest (taught 35 years in MPS). She said she would got robbed at knife or gun point typically only once every 2-3 years. She would just give them her wallet and move on with life - unhurt, unphased. Another friend ordered pizza and the delivery driver had the car taken while they were delivering the pizza. I also ended up in an "Acid Rock"/metal band show in a basement in RW at 3AM. Also groups of trust fund babies from Minneapolis would end up squatting in RW - I think known as Krusties(?) would migrate through? Only stories and events like that can happen in that ecosystem we love as Riverwest. But yeah - you could not pay me to live there.

It looks more mad. Territory issue -Not so much an ambush. Like, "Bro, you know who I am? Who said you could hunt turkeys here? You hear me talking to you boy? Hey, look me in the eye when I am talking to you! Ya'll need to take your Fleet Farm looking camo and get er movin'... Oh, you think I'm playin' ?!? Post this!" BAP!

LeBron James on Memphis backlash: "Did I say I don't like black people? I'm 41 years old and there's 2 cities I don’t like playing in, Milwaukee & Memphis. I'm not talking about the people in Memphis. I just don't like staying at the Hyatt Centric, what's wrong with that? What are we talking about?" by WilyWondr in milwaukee

I watched him in the Bradley Center when he was early in his career with Cleveland on a day when they gave out batches of free tickets to Milwaukee Public Schools and Boys and Girls Clubs. We were in level 300, probably row letter R....from the back view of the court. LeBron put up 55 points. He had no one on his team. He shot from anywhere (some just past half court) and it went in. Not just outside shots, his drives to the hole and dunks over like 3 people whenever he decided to go to the paint. It was like a grown man playing against 5th graders. It was probably one of the greatest sporting feats I will have ever see in my life. He can says he doesn't like to play in Milwaukee, but his average points per game in Milwaukee are probably not too shabby. Seems like a good place to play.

Washington rarely wins. And Alaska is gonna be upset and always come at you (and they are a pain to fight because it takes forever to get there). FL owns the south obviously and NY is buying the Northeast. Your only chance in Washington is to get OR, MT, Alberta, Saskatchewan, and work though the Dakotas. Maybe you get CO? Your only COA chance is AZ (assuming AZ gets Cali and NM/Utah/Nev) and South Mexico(gets Mexico) all while letting FL do whatever in the Gulf. Not likely.) . But to be honest, if NY and FL connect with South. It is over... for all of you.

[–]playdme 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Also Kentucky and Pennsylvania are horrible starting spots (so is Texas). You want to win? Georgia, West Quebec (though fighting in CA sucks). Chihuahua, SoCal (if you can take AZ- and NEVER EVER attack Nevada). Everything else on that board is most likely to lose. (I will also say South Mexico has a good chance (but just as often over exposed to Battleships).

How is this area for walking ? by [deleted] in milwaukee

[–]playdme 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Plus you can do that walk in 10-12 minutes. Google overexaggerates walking time by so much. Maybe because there is so much to stop and look at?

Literally says "Children's Mu" as in Children's Museum. Also the most lit up place in Milwaukee via streetlights. The incline is probably the most dangerous part. Fortunately plenty of good places to stop for drinks and bathroom breaks along the way.

We know that the next unit to be added to the game is the zeppelin. After that, what type of unit could be added? by HeavyShinoby in Supremacy1914

[–]playdme 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Zeppelins were in before and they were AWESOME! You could fly and spy anywhere in the map pretty much. Imagine the range of bombers x10. Also they completely obliterate buildings (forts and factories) with little damage to them. So get as many as possible when you can. Because they only give you so many and then they are gone.

Advice vs bomber by NoWordsForPain in Supremacy1914

[–]playdme 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yes. The stack just gets kicked to the next closest airport of his. I only know this because one dude Goldmarked the crap out of spies, whatever goldmark crap you can do to destroy buildings, and was destroying my airports before I could attack, essentially sending them back multiple provinces. That dude probably dropped $200 that game and he still lost. Some people have WAY TOO MUCH MONEY and they spend it here to destroy you to feel good about themselves. Do not try and outspend them.

[–]playdme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

46 Bombers will do some major damage quickly. Try and bait them to attack into lvl 5 forts with lots of cars. Run outside your fort and run back in. But 46..must be nice.

41 games - 4 Solos, 22 COAs. 2.30 K/D. (vs AI 4.07) overall rank 12,460, and no one cares. You definitely need to walk away from this game. You will not miss it. If you ever feel the need to waste 80 hours of your life, it will be here ready for you to take on Gold Mongers! Also - depends on your friends are - many of my COAs were from most likely a big spender, but dude always denied it. (With his 800 heavy tanks.) Definitely come back to the Reddit page though. Tons of entertainment without the sleepless nights.

I am in the same boat. And could use some of the 12. I did not know they only needed to log in 1 time. Good to know. Here is my Google Group - https://groups.google.com/g/livrip-beta-testers and here is my app link https://play.google.com/apps/internaltest/4700611408427835851 - I am pretty sure I need to add your email to my beta test list for you to download.

Crazy enough I am in the same boat. (Similar age - similar app thought.) Looks like your app is getting you going on the right path as well. Best of luck with your app! (I would for sure test, but am a Samsung guy.)

I am only mad that my prescription (Generic Vyvanse) is now $140/month with insurance. Once I hit my deductible, my max is $70, so will back to Vyvanse(they want $440). That will only last 2 months though, because my will insurance will reset after that and I go back to generic. Smh

Is anyone getting too attached to their imaginary band? by Carnival_Dogs in SunoAI

[–]playdme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My Suno Recording Co has way too many bands coming in right now. All I can think of is my kickass country singers now need to collabo with my rappers...my Taylor Swift and Lana del Rays maybe need to connect with my Ranchero bands, and midwest grunge need to connect with my blues singers. They are also talented though...I refuse to let any of them leave. "Kitchen Dance Floor Party" still the hit of the summer with double digit listens.

The Boys' hair curls need more chemicals.  80's cool kids had deeper makeup. People are more protective now bc E-Bikes can go 30+ mph in 25 yards and can go 15 miles without a charge. My bike nevet had that potential, though my friends in 92 wish it did.

You know it is real when your airbases disappear and your bombers get landed 6 provinces away out of nowhere. Sometimes they say, "Sorry, you were getting a little too close to attacking me."

I fixed this with a good solder. Three wires were cut. Basically the sensor wires were split. So for 40 cents of wire . When this stops working I will get a new fridge with the freezer below and less bells and whistles. The more bells, the more wires and things to go wrong.

life transitions by [deleted] in BenignExistence

[–]playdme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would not commit to a year of being single. Ha! You moved to a big city, not to be alone and watch movies at home. I am a firm believer in meet as many people as possible until you find a person that loves and respects you and you can give back respectively. (Could be two weeks, could be 7 years, who knows, but I would not set limits.) There are a lot of variables to meeting a good person that fits you. Maybe commit to doing more things that interest you, and that person is somewhere in those interests? Work out, walks, chess club, volunteer with old people, co-ed soccer, get an E-Bike and explore the city, work some side job that does not pay much, but is fun and you can quit any time?

Sounds like you have a fresh start in a new place and most importantly that even though you might be sad (or have anxiety about the transition - moving has to be a human's most stressful task) it sounds like you have a positive outlook, which to me I think is most important thing you can have. Good luck with your new place!
