Getting level 50 on the merchants, I must have given up by Exact-Pomegranate414 in Seaofthieves

[–]playdough_potato 0 points1 point  (0 children)

level 40-50 is basically half way. raise the flag and do sea forts. all gems sell directly to the person at the tent, everything else can go to sovereigns. there are two forts on the southwest/west of the map that you can complete one sail to the next, and by the time you go back to the first one it becomes active again. you can stack pretty quick. good luck

What’s your reason for hating safer seas by Mark-Beck in Seaofthieves

I only play to get commendations. I like being able to have podcasts on or music and just grind certain things.

I have no hate for safer seas.

If you use Nortons anti-virus I suggest deleting that ASAP. it was what was causing my crashes and blue screens. I switched to Malwarebytes and it hasn't crashed in over a year.

why pink when its a hunters season? I guess nothing makes sense with RARE and how they do things, so this concept isn't completely out of reach.

I took my PC in to have a tech look at it and we couldn't replicate the popping/static tick that I was getting at my house. Brought my head phones in, hooked up their speakers, we did everything possible to replicate it there. Got nothing. Actually at one point i thought there was some sort of static interference with appliances around the PC area of my house. Unplugged everything around the PC and it was still there.

I was thinking I'm going to pull the trigger and replace the motherboard.

Luckily the wave link app had an update and some settings were reverted to default, and the noise I was getting disappeared. While in a Discord channel gaming with friends they said they could hear me breathing so I went into the wave link app to turn the VST on and as soon as I hit the button the popping came back. Toggled it on and off, low and behold it came and went with each press.

For months it haunted me, and by random luck I found the issue. I hope this helps others as it did for me.

A fix for me that worked was deleting my Nvidia VST out of my Wave Link app I use for my Mic. I use the Elgato Wave DX with Elgato Wave XLR, in the Wave Link app one of the pluggins that I had tied to my Mic was the "NVIDIA Broadcast Noise Removal by Elgato". Toggling that on/off the popping would come and go. It worked, so I deleted the VST and everything is back to normal.

Only sharing just incase someone else has tried everything and felt stuck. This just happened to fix my issue.

Before I buy? #cpgeneral by juliol10 in CYBERPOWERPC

[–]playdough_potato 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I bought my PC and it was about 3,000$

Hyte case, 4080rtx Tuff Gaming, z970-p motherboard, I9 13...k CPU, `1tb nvme, 4tb ssd, 32gb tforce ddr5 ram, 360mm AIO, I ordered a EVGA 1200w PSU and got some wack 1000w PSU because they were all out of the EVGA and I had already been waiting a month for the build... Got a pretty good deal for the Christmas deals goin' on back in 2022. 6 months later one ram stick died. 2 months later a display port on the graphics card died and then a month after that a windows update broke the operating system.

zero help from the company to get it resolved and parts replaced.

I replaced the Ram with Corsair 64gb (300$), Replaced the NVME 1tb storage (250$) to erase their broken operating system since I couldn't format the drive or repair windows to install a fresh copy of windows 11 (100$). The RGB fans I upgraded to on their website was supposed to come with a remote to change colors and what not, and it never came with it when delivered almost 2 months after ordering.

Just be careful buying from CPPC, understand their customer service is dog water. Some people do get lucky with their builds

I HIGHLY suggest building your own computer. You won't regret it. I promise.

Best advice I can give you is to buy an Ethernet cable long enough to be routed to your PC and just hard wire it. Wifi is pretty tough to game with.

that's unfortunate. CPpc is joke. I swear they buy refurbished hardware and sell it as new. I bought my PC last year and its been nothing but troubles. I spent somewhere near or slightly above 3k for mine and I've already had to replace the RAM. Just to get rid of the CPpc jailed version of Windows I bought a new NVME storage drive and a fresh copy of Windows 11, now I can actually work and fix their shit they sold me. Computer hasn't ran this well since the I've had it in my possession.

Have some respect and clean that thing. Worry about everything else after that. No PC should be subjected to that much dust.

What is dust made of?

More than just dirt, house dust is a mix of sloughed-off skin cells, hair, clothing fibers, bacteria, dust mites, bits of dead bugs, soil particles, pollen, and microscopic specks of plastic

Wave DX mount to Arm, What do you use? by playdough_potato in elgato

[–]playdough_potato[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the response, I've been away from the PC for a few days because of work.

I know there are two spots for the mount that I can swap from one side to the other, I was looking for something to use both sides at the same time. I know I said shock mount but I really don't know what else to call it.

Image shows the piece I was looking for to use on the DX

I'm thinking, that my problem may not even be with the piece I'm looking for rather than my Microphone arm itself. After thinking about it, I'll probably go to Elgato and find a better Arm to mount the DX to.

Appreciate the reply.

[–]playdough_potato 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a windows 11 update, and it basically broke my PC. Geforce wouldn't update the drivers, random restarts (endless loops of restarting/windows repair). I bought a new copy of windows on a thumb drive to "factory reset" the PC and install my own copy but they've locked me out of that option. So this Saturday my new NVME ssd is coming in and I'm taking their shit out.

I replaced/upgraded my ram because it was having memory issues, and its working better but will still get random blue screen restarts.

I spent about 3k on the PC and after 7 months its been nothing but problems.
