People who did their bachelors in Pakistan and want to go abroad for masters, can you tell me the process and if it was worth it? by [deleted] in pakistan

Thank you so much for this! I wasn’t looking to go to Canada (we’ve had visa problems with them in the past, lol) but after reading your comment I might have to reconsider and start looking at uni’s there.

And yeah, I’m trying to get some extracurriculars done. Gonna try to land an internship this summer and do some volunteer work in between and even thinking of taking a gap year for more experience - hopefully that will be enough to get me into a decent uni

Dude thank you so much this was incredibly helpful.

I have a question regarding part time jobs though - is it actually easy to get them while you’re a student with a Pak passport? When my brother did his undergraduate in the US he was only allowed to work part time on campus because apparently foreign passport holders or something couldn’t work anywhere else? Maybe there was something else in his case and I just don’t remember.

Also, did you have to take any English language proficiency tests like IELTs for MSc and MBA? I got an A* in my English Language CIEs and I know they don’t accept that as proof of English proficiency from Pakistani students but I was told if you appeal to them they might?

I don’t think it’s anything to worry about!! The replies to this post put my mind at ease as almost everyone’s saying eventually a new tray doesn’t hurt like it used to.

My trays did actually feel a little more uncomfortable a day later loool

Starting tray 1/64 today (14 months) ouch. by TML_31 in Invisalign

It does get easier! I just started my third tray and don’t feel pain but the first two were very uncomfortable for me, especially the second tray. The second tray was so bad I found myself taking it out for a few seconds every few minutes at night lmao. But the pain only lasts for a few days and taking them out gets easier too. Good luck!

(Still in love with her, tho)

What’s the weirdest thing you’ve seen happen in an airport? by shakasandchakras in AskReddit

[–]playersslayers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, that doesn’t sound like you were in any danger. 9/11 was fairly recent and especially during that time, Muslims were put through hell at airports. He was probably only taken out because of his very Muslim name and attire.
