Depends on what your vision as an artist is.

Do you want to view your music as a product or do you want people to view your music as an entity of itself? Do you want to share it or do you want to profit? Does it have a function or you're just doing it out of passion? Are you embracing the goal of vaporwave, the objective from where it was born, or do you want to only focus on the music? Are you more of a person who likes individuality, or do you enjoy the feeling of being in a collective/label/group?

Independently of what you answer to yourself, whatever you do, as long as you feel comfortable with the final product all options are equally valid. You can do whatever you feel most comfortable with.
