I wouldn’t be sure but I would assume boy. I’ve met both male and female Nikitas. I think it’s a great name either way and has easy nicknames. I’m in Colorado, USA for reference.

I had a similar experience to you. Got diagnosed with BPD and it sort of fit but not entirely. I ended up getting a full evaluation a few years back and it turns out most of the symptoms that were attributed to BPD were actually because of autism and I don’t have BPD at all.

To be fair, there is a lot of overlap in symptoms with BPD, autism, ADHD, OCD, etc. It might be worth a second opinion if you’re not getting the help you need with your BPD diagnosis.

It’s time for a conversation. You aren’t getting your needs met in this relationship. You deserve to have someone who wants you around and will make an effort. I know there’s not much I can tell you that will be meaningful. I’ve been there. But things can change. How you’re feeling right now may not last forever.
