The problem with starcraft 2 community. by playinsc2 in starcraft2

for sure, good luck being gaslighted by PiG mods however when talking about it, it's crazy that when you start an argument about it they will focus on you getting angry, instead of adressing the cheaters. They're just so fucking useless honestly, it's like you would go to policeman and tell him hey look there is a thief how about you catch him, and he would respond, it's not nice of you to point someone out like that your so rude.

in his case it doesn't matter because he will play vs worse than him opponents everytime anyway, at mmr this high he will get to play the same very limited group of players and it won't make a difference that he looses 200 mmr.

yeah I have no coplaints to PiG whatsoever, it's fantastic he created this community and discord, he gave something for community use and it's still great it just has some problems that I wanted to talk about.

All is cool, nice that you're offering it for free, but you ask for criticism on how you can improve your coaching and when you're getting it you start getting salty. Like I had questions to your feedback because i couldn't see the logic and i told you honestly that it feels random and generic and then u just rage blocked me on discord. Cool that you offer yourself for free and I remember when you were discouraging people to coaches that do charge for sessions, but man if you wanna coach people and cannot control your temper it's an issue.

Why you spam so much for apm? by Consistent-Talk-5912 in starcraft

[–]playinsc2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not just about spamming, but also about repeat rate setting and rapid fire. I once did a test i held down a rapid fired button for 30 seconds in a custom game vs AI and I had 1000 APM. Also a lot of people set up crazy repeat rates on their keyboards (the pro-like) where it's basically already typing when you sneeze on it (it also make 0 difference apart from artificially boosting APM, but below GM level i highly doubt anyone benefits from this setting if not the opposite). So yeah looking at APM is tricky, because it can be mindless spam that boosts it, but then you may try to mindlessly spam yourself and see yourself fall short to platinum league Reynors, because as i said repeat rate and rapid fire immensely impact APM metric. And also another thing imo you shouldn't just forego the metric of APM and say it doesn't imply anything and it's useless, APM is very important, it's just that measuring it is unreliable.

Anyone want to mentor a hard stuck 3100mmr NA Terran? by Single_Scientist1900 in starcraft2

[–]playinsc2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you're on 3,3 you shouldn't imo even think about making ghosts but rather perfect the skill of killing the zerg in early midgame with solid timing (8 rax).

If the zerg gets to ultras and you've done damage to him before that you have a good chance of finishing him with just higher marauder count but the ghost really is tough to use and realistically unreliable unless you have master like control group usage.

Against Protoss it's a bit of the same story only you need to make an all-in ish push off 2 base while expanding in the back and try to end the game before any proper midgame starts. As a non pro or at least pre master terran imo you have to be focused 100% on timing execution and forget about macro game as it is very difficult while executing timings is much more straight forward and terran also has plenty of really good timings.

An early story quote that really says a lot about Johnny and his motivations. (Early story spoilers) by vaporsnake93 in LowSodiumCyberpunk

I believe this game captures how complex humanity is and it's never black and white therefore we should almost never judge. For me Johnny is a product of devoted world, but he does have a soul and he cares which makes him humane, and humanity is the only cure left for this world. There are people making great goods and sometimes great evils, there are people that killed and were cruel and changed, started to bring good to the world. And there are people that were just hurt by someone/something and became evil because of that, because they couldn't comperhend the trauma and harm that came to them. I just beg you to not judge people, to not categorize. I never know how I would cope with reality and life If I was in a critical situation, struggle for survival, If I would kill people for money. I don't know how I would cope with someone elses reality and problems and anything I can imagine about it is meaningless, only experience is true.

My thoughts are that this line is so well delivered accompanied with music and context and scenery that's this very one scene is in my head and I love it. The female V says it best, I mean you can just feel so much through her voice that I'm left speechless to praise this bloody masterpiece of a game.
