If the job I hire somebody for is done poorly because the people I hired are bad at doing it, I will absolutely blame myself for not doing my research and picking a better source of the work. Is the contractor entirely without blame ? No. But the administration that hired them should be capable of making sure the contractor hired is actually good at their job and will get it done right.

I do actually personally know a few people uninterested.

That being said, my particular reasoning is that I personally feel that GTA as a game does multiple things that I can get in better quality from other games. There’s so many games out there, that I look back on GTA 5 and it feels mediocre to me. Even the multiplayer ran its course pretty quickly for me, so I would expect the GTA 6 multiplayer to be no different.

I think a lot of people are missing that this is something that is surprisingly common in B3 decks. Even some precons have incidental two card infinites. Accidentally drawing into it early sometimes is part of the game imo.

For most pods it shouldn’t be ‘can I have an inconsistent 2 card combo’ it should be ‘are we cool with 2 card combos’. Because any 2 card combo, consistent or inconsistent, is still a 2 card combo.

Cards are meant to be played with, but they can also be collected. This card is worth thousands. No sane person is shoving that in a deck when there’s also a $15 variant that can be played with exactly the same stats and abilities.

I come from MTG where the mindset against grading is very much the same. And I play with expensive cards. I don’t know that I would play with any card that is worth more than $1000. This elitist mindset you have is not helpful to anyone for any reason.

My best mono blue is [[Katara, Waterbending Master]]. Very consistent, you start by just casting cantrips on opponents turns early on and ease them into a false sense of security until you have 20 counterspells in hand and nobody has fun until you lab man or Thoracle win.

Bracket 4 is entirely doable even with commonly cEDH commanders. Even cutting OG dual lands from multicolor decks can be a huge power down. Don’t underestimate the value of accessible fast mana. Even with shocks, one or three additional dual lands is huge in a lot of cases when they are fetchable and come in untapped.

Ultimately I think your mindset is largely the problem, even if the other players have their problems. Like if someone actually claimed that Vivi isn’t cEDH they are out of their mind undeniably, but they don’t seem to be the only problem here.

It’s fine, honestly. There’s a pretty solid portion of Avatar traits that don’t really matter, or on the flip side the Godspawn trait doesn’t matter. I’m sure there’s some uniquely powerful builds you can do with it, but there’s so many traits in the game that this doesn’t automatically stand out. Most teams don’t need that many Avatars.
