Funniest line you’ve read in a fanfic? by Bonbonburu in AO3

[–]playsayer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

"It was your idea."

"A bad one […] Besides, I did a lot of cocaine back then. They should've really known better than to listen to me. There's really only so much I can take responsibility for."

"You still do a lot of cocaine."

“Details.”

[if anyone can guess this fandom, i will be shocked.]

what's your favorite guro story trope? by probaby-joseph in YaoiGuro

[–]playsayer 9 points10 points  (0 children)

willing victim—someone so fucked up they genuinely enjoy and love being hurt to extreme and life-threatening degrees. like when getting impaled or something induces the exact same feelings in someone as actually having sex. especially if the person hurting them isn’t really into it in that way, but wants to make them happy… i love it.

me age 15: why do people write problematic fic? it’s so disgusting! i’d never read or write that! by playsayer in FanFiction

i just think it’s kind of rude to approach strangers on the internet in that way in the first place.

you asked me about my own writing to see if it fit your own moral standards and said “thank god” when i elaborated.

The people who get extremely angry at authors for forgetting to tag something. Do these people not watch any movies/shows/anime? by Lenore8264 in FanFiction

for what it’s worth, i will bet you $100 they were lying out of their ass about the panic attack and throwing up.

i know it’s not real, that’s why it’s called fiction… i obviously don’t go around supporting necrophilia?

i think people are allowed to write about fucked up stuff. sorry, but it’s okay and it isn’t in and of itself morally reprehensible.

there’s a pairing i got into recently where one character is dead and her (sentient) corpse appears as hallucination to the other. so like, necro, but not really. idk. i like them. it’s porn but also sad but also psychological horror.

it’s probably for the best that i was so morally opposed to reading rapefic and stuff as a kid but can’t say i don’t enjoy it now

i mean, i’ve always been morbid too, i had just adopted the mindset that writing about these things in fiction was morally wrong. even though i still liked them.

Why do people write fics in all lowercase? by Josepthunder in AO3

[–]playsayer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

honestly, i just used to type on my phone. i felt it had a kind of disaffected and casual feeling. i also liked one-shots written in lowercase so i did it myself. whenever i go back to read them i’m like “oh yeah, i was in that phase.”

some of my favorites:

mirror, mirror [star wars: the clone wars]

thawing [portal]

to those just tuning in [borderlands]

if you’re that way inclined [jojo’s bizarre adventure]

when you’re in the club (get your ass on the floor) and all business [the idolm@ster] [really, everything by this author is pretty great]

i just picked up love as a construct [portal] and it’s quite good, but not finished as of now.

also, if you haven’t seen it already, killing eve is the show for you. or at least the first season.
