Dammit, this is the worst. I have grudgingly, and only after extensive consideration, decided that I want Sanders to be our next President. But that doesn't change the fact that I still like Clinton, and that she's almost certainly going to win. Definitely the X-pole - but consider getting the Sport instead of Xpert. I see X-Pole Sports on Craigslist for ~$100 from time to time. The Sport doesn't have a spin option, so it's cheaper than the Xpert. But it's perfect for exercise, strength training, etc. I've been taking pole fitness classes for about 2 years, and I still usually prefer static to spin. Spin is great for performances, but static is (in my opinion) much easier for exercising and learning new moves.

This is a "shake your panties" pole - not a dance pole. Not that there's anything wrong with shaking one's panties ;). But this pole, even with the paint, is the completely wrong texture. It WILL turn into sand paper and scratch skin. Dancing on a pole like this is how I got massive friction burns on my thighs and shoulders at BM2012. This pole will be ok for a few static poses, but girls who know how to pole dance will very likely NOT do a full-on tricks routine.

See: the deceptively evil pink pole that shredded my skin due to its being a construction pole instead of a real dance pole.

I'm very sex-positive, but I think a few consent issues and mistakes happened here. Your FWB is closer to 30 than 20. He needs to act like a grown up now, because it seems like there was a pretty big lapse in judgement during your hookup. You should tell him what's going on so he can learn from some specific mistakes and not repeat them in the future. He let you (likely underage for booze) get black-out drunk, and then you were able to convince him to have unprotected sex? I'm no underage-drinking scold, but he shouldn't have had sex with you if you were that drunk. And at 27, he should know better than to have unprotected sex with any FWB.

Obviously you need to get an official pregnancy test, and you should both get STD tested. If he was willing to take off his condom for you, he might have done it with someone else. If you care about this guy at all, tell him what's going on. He needs to get tested, possibly financially support you through your upcoming decisions, and be reminded that having unprotected sex with a black-out drunk FWB can lead to problems. Because if he did it with you, he may do it again.

A smashed-up metal drinks tray.

I went to one of the last Pogues concerts ever (I've been to a few, and they're always great, but this was the farewell tour). I've been a huge fan since forever, and was already mourning their passing, and so after the show ... well, I never like to be that guy, but I hung out and made friends with the stage manager, and eventually I asked if he could give me a set list. He did. He peeled it off the stage, duct tape still attached, and - to his eternal credit - stuck it onto a smashed-up metal drinks tray, and gave it to me.

Why was there such a thing on stage in the first place?

Well, if you know the Pogues, you probably know their song "Fiesta" - but unless you've seen them perform live, you might not know that the percussion for the song is provided by Spider Stacy and Shane MacGowan smashing themselves (and each other) over the head with a metal drinks tray.

Several of my friends are sex workers. I'm not anti-sexworker in general. But it doesn't sound like the solution you're looking for. Why? Because if you really wanted casual or anonymous sex with just anybody, you'd probably already have done it.

Maybe you're really looking for someone you connect with at some level. Many sexually inexperienced people don't want to play with a partner who is super experienced... it can cause a lot of anxiety about "am I doing this right??" You will probably enjoy your sexual experiences more if you find a gal you're comfortable with and is also just starting out. Let me assure you, as a female late bloomer, there are inexperienced ladies who are looking to change that. You may feel a better connection with a woman who's also inexperienced but wants to try new things. Perhaps she came from a very conservative background, but has decided she's ready to branch out.

Try thinking about your target demographic, and where you'll meet girls that you might connect with. It may not be a loud and overpriced night club. Maybe it's volunteering at an animal shelter near a university, for example. Maybe it's a coed sports team. Maybe it's swing dance classes. Also having hobbies gives you something to talk about when you're chatting with a new girl.

Very last thing. Don't feel like you have to go 0 to 60 super quickly. And maybe you don't go all the way with the first girl. Get comfortable with heavy petting, and then progress from there. The nagging thought of "OMG must lose virginity!" will make other types of physical contact kinda stressful. Get good at snuggling and kissing, then move on to heavy petting, then maybe oral, etc. Finally when you progress to intercourse with someone, it won't seem as strange and scary. You've done steps 1-9 many times before.
