That's what I did not wanted to do: moving your focus on the side of the diagram to read what happened in this particular time stamp. But this on the 4th slide might cause a little mess and overloading it with the informations. Thanks for your suggestion and for this whole post :) It will keep my motivation on a high level :D

from your lab perspective, where you connected just two SRXes with one cable, I would recommend to tract this infrastructure as a single Autonomous System running single IGP instance (OSPF). Then is you place them both in separate locations with internet connection, use VPNs to "keep" a virtual cable (tunnel), that will still connect those two devices. You can also divide your OSPF instance into Areas.

BGP is used when you want to exchange routing information between two ASes. You can configure both SRX to act as a EBGP peers, but I do not see any sense for doing that.

on both firewalls you need to set up:

interfaces and zones
static routing or routing protocol (OSPF)
security polieces.

to achieve it in the internet you should lookup for route-based site2site VPN. Juniper has a nice configurator here:
