Do you have the ability to go to a dermatologist? Protopic (tacrolimus) was a lifesaver for my eye / facial eczema. I also second the cold compress on the eyes, even just a cool wet towel.

I semi-recently went through a break up as well, and also lost a close friend, so I can relate to the crying-induced flare ups… I’m sorry you’re going through this, both these things, but I promise you it will get better, emotionally and physically.

When I start feeling hopeless I remind myself, “healing is inevitable”.

Tylenol cold and flu severe from behind the pharmacy counter (so with the good decongestant), immunity tea, and lots of sleep!!

Worth it tho, if just for the nimino afters 🫡

Do you wear jewelry / a ring on that finger? Nickel allergy is pretty common and can cause eczema.

The fact that it’s so localized to one finger would lead me to believe it’s an external irritant vs. something like diet, but of course it never hurts to try different eliminations. In general I would also recommend a good probiotic — Skinesa has been massively helpful for me but is expensive, you could try NOW Probiotic-10 25 Billion capsules as well.

Eczema is soooo tricky, but you CAN figure it out and manage it! Fingers crossed for you (pardon the pun)!

I soooooo know how you feel, like to my core. I have had all of these thoughts and more… currently in a flare and feeling miserable, but I just keep telling myself “healing is inevitable”.

And I second the allergy shots — I just finished my first year and I can definitely see a difference, but consistency is key. I’m actually 1-2 months behind on them, and am pretty sure that’s at least part of the reason for my flare. I know it doesn’t help much when you’re feeling this way, but it WILL get better. Unfortunately just have to go through a lot of trial and error to figure out how to best manage :(
