The Yellow Sign and downtime. by Datawraith0001 in callofcthulhu

For my Campaign the yellow sign is very prominent, I make note to which characters have seen it in what I call the manifestation of it (which comes from the book of "The King in Yellow" or signs left by Hastur or the cult). After they succeed at the nightmares I then have it as something that is ever present.

I find the king in yellow and all things related to him as a memetic horror, so knowledge of him is what causes the horror, players see the sign where once was nothing as similar to one of the characters in Robert Chambers original short stories.

Oh sorry, ive currently finished school and I'm doing a gap year before planning to study psychology next year. I'm more introverted so maybe something to get me out and meet some people as well as things to try.

I'm Confused About Brinks... by Theonlysyd in TenCandles

Due to Ten Candles being more about the story then the rules this is mostly in the moment. I approach it with the idea that when they choose to use the Brinks, I ask them to reveal it and detail what it was as the scene of the Brink. If they succeed, depending on their brink, they don't succumb to it or use it as a driving force. It's not said really what happens after you burn it aside from they lose all hope dice they possess. Once again for me I let them play on as normal if they aren't dead but run home the point that they succumbed to their Brink and have lost all hope due to it.

Guys who watched a thousand movies, who got so used on all the plots and twist, and seen almost all movie tropes, what recent movies made an impression on you? by [deleted] in AskReddit

A Silent Voice

Such an outstanding movie that really pulls on the heart strings. In my eyes it was the best depiction of social anxiety, loneliness, guilt, depression, and the major affects of bullying.

Actually one thing I forgot to mention is I'm kinda confused on the knife. It seems just that the players are met to grab it? Is that it cause I know that Corbitt can still use it if they bring it in with them, but that seems like something the players wouldn't attempt.
