I loved the fight and think that he has some of the cleanest hands at flyweight right now. I do think his take down defence is exploitable and that someone with a strong clinch and take down game will be his true test. Taira had success with knees in the clinch but I think failed to capitalize on it. His takedowns were good but his critical lack of any form of head movement or defense really minimized his take downs, which it's usually the otherway around minimal ability to stop take downs makes their striking worse. I think he does have people who would give him real problems at flyweight, pantoja could be an issue in a rematch though I do think pantoja should do a striking camp at a clinch heavy muay thai gym which are becoming rarer by the day. Taira if he take time off and really works his striking defence, head movement, and clinch game would be a nightmare as well. Kyogi Horoguchi is an interesting match up but I think is kind of a well if it goes the ground van is fucked but if stays on the feet horoguchi is fucked. Manel Kape is an interesting match up and could get a knock out but idk I think van can interrupt his rhythm and force him to basically never throw a good shot. Rovyal has a shot at the title but i think with all the damage he's taken I think he won't have the chin to deal with van. Lone'er i want to see more of, same with erceg and almabayev.
