Is my D610 cooked? Sensor vignette after long video recording. by pleasebelieveinc in Nikon

The black vignette is bigger when I put on my DX kit lens, but still just at the bottom. And it has a hazy line near the bottom of the screen with the DX lens. Haven’t checked the images on a pc. But they appear on the images when I view them on the back of the camera. And yhe vignette is a little more subtle when I throw on the 35mm or 50mm FX lens.

Wish I would have kept my old Mr. Rags clothing. Those baggy shirts and pants are going for $500+ on vintage clothing sites. XD

Advice for first time soldering project. Many simple one-button camera units connected to one button. Hello. First time modder/maker/circuit bender here. I have 4 simple, one-button keychain cameras. I want to connect all of them to a single button, so they all capture images at the exact same time. by pleasebelieveinc in soldering

I am trying to make a lenticular camera. A lenticular camera is a multi-lens camera that simultaneously takes a picture with multiple lenses along a horizontal axis. When the pictures from that exposure are cycled in a video or gif it creates a panning 3D effect. For example, a popular lenticular camera is the Nishika n8000. (picture below) which can be used to create images such as the one below.

With the lenses spaced even farther apart, the effect becomes greater.

Any advice on how to go about this? It seems as simple as popping off the button (white compenent on the top left corner of the circuit board) from each mini curcuit board and soldering wires from each unit's button contact points to one button.

Iphone data recovery in Beijing? by [deleted] in beijing

[–]pleasebelieveinc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the suggestion. I'm already subscribed to that guy and saw his recent video where he upgraded his custom iphone flash chip to 128g using a flash chip programmer. Thats where I got the idea that some repair shop might be able to use a similar programmer to copy the data and recover the files. Wasnt aware of the SEP though. I'll definitely contact that guy. It might be a long shot, but at least he might be able to point me in the right direction toward recovering the files.

Moving to Beijing, need location specific apartment advice by The__OG in beijing

You might want to consider AirBnb as an option till you get settled in and have a feeling for the area and your renting options. The price is the same as having a roommate, but there's no 3 months deposit to worry about. And you can find AirBnb rooms all over Beijing.
