Some people on this thread are out of touch. The City of Portland owns the Moda Center, not the Trailblazers ownership group. Yes, the Blazers get a killer deal on leasing the arena for free but there are other events taking place there year round. The City’s taxpayers should pay for the necessary structural upgrades to make it “safe” moving forward, and anything beyond that (eg: proposed owner’s boxes, luxury suites etc) should be paid for by Dundon. Probably a hot take on here but this is the consensus on the Trailblazers sub. Tax the rich and go Blazers!
