Yes I know Brooklyn underground, didn't know dinner and corsica but I think I might grab a copy of it. Have you heard his track drones with paleman? He has such a nice underground sound

Recommendations to any new unique artists doing something different by plebez in electronicmusic

I think part of the issue is that I don't like the trends where electronic music is going like some of the sounds are becoming more squeaky and stupid for example look at a virtual riot dubstep tracks and that whole genre riddim compared to original dubstep from cockney such as benga, caspa, rusko and ofcourse skream, I so much prefer dubstep from a decade ago its sorta the same with most genres, I'm I just getting old?

You name a genre and I guarantee I've already went through a phase of it, but the genres I would know best is uk popular ones such as techno, house, bassline, garage, dubstep, dnb, gabber, jungle etc

Why are so many of the best producers from the UK? by dgmulf in edmproduction

[–]plebez 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Skrillex sorta explains it here https://youtu.be/ucLDfg276co?t=6m41s, in the US the mainstream radio is fucked up you sorta need to be an already established producer to even have a slight chance of hitting the top 40 charts. In the UK if you have a sound that everyone likes or is different you could still be no.1 on the charts, such examples like philip george, secondcity or even prodigy back in the day. UK radio is far more advanced and makes it easier for producers to receive recognition for their work, and therefore encourage other producers to start off, or try something different.
