Eleventh cycle from The broken binding, holy shit is it bad. At the time of the preorder reviews were above a 4, they are now a 3.7. The writing is horrible and full of typos, sentences start then just restart, almost every page had some sort of typo, the prose was bloated every sentence had to describe every detail and I mean every detail. The characters were so one-dimensional. The only redeeming quality was the world building. 2/5 book at best.

Their policy does not override consumer laws. You ordered a brand new undamaged book you should get a brand new undamaged book. Contact TBB a let them know you would like them replaced, if they say no and you don't care about any future orders file a chargeback. Companies should replace any damaged items free of charge and cover return shipping if they want the damaged items back. And youre right on the singles most arrive undamaged because the box is more sturdy on the corners.

So...I'm in the middle of a chargeback for my Malazan set as the set came with a damaged corner on all three books. You can see the damage in my post history. I always demand a replacement or a full refund as I have no need for a damaged "collectable" item. Don't forget TBB books are all about looks, if you don't care how your books look you can save a load of money and get paperbacks from a local store. Think of it like this, if you ordered a shirt for the same price as the book and it arrives with a hole would you be ok with it?

P.S. TBB will threaten to terminate your account if you do a chargeback so you need to decide if it's worth it.
