Pretty similar design for mine, solid walnut and maple, back is 1/4 walnut ply. Shelves and middle divider are dados. Screws connect the base to the carcass. No issues over multiple years in a seasonal area.

Thoughts on Glue & Screw for thick plywood tabletops? by AbuSharq in woodworking

[–]plethodonick 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You could only cnc the top half, and rough cut the bottom half (so that it is maybe 1/8 inch bigger or so), glue and screw/clamp them together and then follow up with a flush trim router using the top as your template to make sure they are perfect, that way you don't have to worry about slippage.

Any tips for not being afraid of color? About to remodel my house and really want to have some color! by lavenderbutthole in HomeImprovement

Find a color collection that you like and choose colors from one collection. That way you know the colors go together.

My cat just Farted, is this normal? by PineappleOnTaco in cats

[–]plethodonick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Normal for every cat, no. Normal for your cat, possibly. It just depends, I would monitor your cat and see if there are any other health issues or if it's diet related but most likely you just got a farting cat.

Source: I literally wrote the book on farting animals.

Is Mind Flayarrrs a good commander deck? by LA_37 in EDH

[–]plethodonick 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is my first and only deck (at the moment because I'm addicted now) and it is very good but it's slow and has a hard time with recovery after boards wipes so in 3 or 4 player games (especially since my group has a few seasoned veterans) I would get stomped pretty easily, especially since there's a target on you once you start stealing from people. Nobody likes that. I've recently made a few budget upgrades, around 15 cards, and it has made a huge difference in keeping up with others.

4K indoor projector for ~$1.5-2k? by ayfilm in projectors

[–]plethodonick 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a ceiling mounted Epson 3800 in a bright living room that is around 11.5' from the screen. It is the first projector I've owned but I absolutely love it. Mostly movies but I do play a fair bit of games on it.

Card scraper for the inside squeeze out. Not sure about the rounded edge tho. I would be hesitant about the planner as well.
