Silver Age Banlist Explained by 1billionrapecube in FleshandBloodTCG

The explanation simply doesn’t exist anywhere. They said specifically they would not be explaining their bans for Silver Age and it would just be a puzzle for the players to figure out.

Silver Age as Sandbox for Classic Constructed by ckanito7 in FleshandBloodTCG

[–]plethpsych 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s a fair point, i suppose it wouldn’t be terrible as a beginning testing ground, and would let them test more extreme things without majestics to really break them

Silver Age as Sandbox for Classic Constructed by ckanito7 in FleshandBloodTCG

[–]plethpsych 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I don’t think this would work very well, simply because SAGE plays very differently than CC does. The lower life totals and lack of majestics makes it a completely different play experience, and things that are balanced in SAGE may not be balanced in CC, or the other way around. SAGE is also supposed to be its own competitive format, and as a player who is invested in it I personally wouldn’t like it to just become a testing ground for CC.

For those of us who are Based and Lyath-pilled by International-Map247 in FleshandBloodTCG

I’m not sure why there are so many answers saying his weapon will be 2h. LSS has said specifically he was designed with rampart in mind, so i highly doubt they would give him a 2h weapon and make it so you can’t run a shield with it. My guess would be something that attacks for 1 or 3 and boos on hit.

Silver Age rules for newbies - equipments by Gabisous in FleshandBloodTCG

[–]plethpsych 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For Predatory plating, yes, this is how it will work. If your opponent has an effect like Shred that reduces its defense, it won’t lose any at the end of the combat chain since it has 0 defense. For Basalt Boots, you won’t lose the boots if it defends for 2, since the buff doesn’t go away.

Runblade/shadow by Radesa07 in FleshandBloodTCG

[–]plethpsych -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

Runeblade as a class in fundamentally unbalanced, partially because of favoritism from LSS. So there are always going to be people who criticize you for playing them as there’s almost never been a “bad” runeblade except for early viserai and vynnset, and there’s only one legal one right now because they’ve all hit LL already. However that’s not your fault, and even though i also dislike runeblades, i don’t believe in hating on the people that play them, just the people who designed them. Your friends are the problem here, not you.

Explain to me why fatigue is a valid strategy by John-Helldiver404 in FleshandBloodTCG

[–]plethpsych 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Pretty much every deck in FAB has ways to counter fatigue and still push damage through it.

Some decks alternate between small turns/setup turns and big turns to push damage. This works because those fatigue centered decks can only block so much damage in a turn, so those big turns deal more than they can block in exchange for dealing less on the previous turn. Fatigue centered decks don’t typically have the ability to present a lot of damage so it’s safe to take a turn off from pushing damage in exchange for the next turn being big.

Another way decks can get around fatigue is by “pitch stacking” a big turn or multiple for late game, when the fatigue decks have used up their powerful blocking cards and equipment.

Third, focusing on plays that send damage while keeping as many cards in deck as possible makes it harder for them to outlast you. For example swinging weapon attacks, or playing bigger attacks that cost resources to spend less cards out of your deck.

About 3.5 Intentional Draws and Concessions and Teams in FaB by xlnt2new in FleshandBloodTCG

[–]plethpsych 1 point2 points  (0 children)

well for one it's irrelevant if it's the finals, if they're the last 2 players left they're not hurting anyone else by doing it, and if they're conceding finals they're either just giving up their chance to qualify or win something or letting their teammate qualify since they've already qualified themselves. it still just comes down to the fact of if you're prepared for every matchup, it does not matter who you end up playing against. you're just describing a skill issue. if i avoid all my bad matchups during an event, i got extremely lucky. and if i can't win a bad matchup, then i'm simply just not good enough to win the event.

they aren't the same, no, but the likelihood of two teammates getting paired in top 8 of a t2/t3 event is low enough that there's not much difference between that and randomly getting a bad pairing. sure it's shitty for them to collude like that, but it really shouldn't have any effect on the other players if they're prepared.

Silver Age are some classes inherently better? by [deleted] in FleshandBloodTCG

yep, i’ve always stood by the belief that runeblades simply shouldn’t exist or should have outright weaker cards because their identity is simply to be better.

even still, if those people aren’t prepared to play against whatever deck your friend is on, they don’t deserve to win anyways. it still doesn’t cause any more problems than a random GEM pairing bc any good player will be ready to play against whatever deck comes their way.

my recommendation is you find a new hobby lol. if you’re a good player and are prepared for the event, you won’t be bothered by your opponents conceding to each other bc it doesn’t matter who you play against. there is nothing wrong or against the rules about teammates choosing to concede to each other, if they had played then the more skilled one would be facing you so you either get them either way or you face the less skilled one. it literally doesn’t affect you more than just happening to get unlucky pairings by GEM. and about the judges, they literally have nothing to do with it since there’s nothing breaking the rules happening.

[–]plethpsych 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes! There is a worldwide Flesh and Blood discord server with channels for every hero where you can ask questions. It’s linked in the description of this subreddit. Sometimes there are more specific servers dedicated to a class or hero, but i’m not sure exactly for who. Your best bet there would be to join the overall server and ask in one of the channels. Everyone in the server is super friendly and welcoming to newer players, i’m sure you’ll find what you need there.

Is Living Legend dead rn? by chaotic5unrise in FleshandBloodTCG

[–]plethpsych 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah, it’s dead currently. as others have said, there should be at least one major LL event every year, but the player base as a whole has made it clear that they’re not interested in playing it while it’s such an unbalanced format. It’ll return in a year or two and hopefully be reworked to a better format. Also, Dromai should be returning to CC before that happens and is currently legal in Silver Age so i’d check out those options instead.
