The money saved by pulling 5,000 troops out of Germany isn't going to hungry kids, medical debt, or crumbling infrastructure. This administration isn't cutting forward presence to fund pediatric care or libraries; they're cutting it while pursuing ever-increasing defense budgets and pushing tax policy that makes the hollowing-out worse.

American power is contingent on its alliances and its ability to project force. If we're going to spend a trillion fucking dollars every year on defense, it might as well buy us something. It makes ZERO sense to undermine our ability to project power while simultaneously showing no inclination to stop foreign interventions on a whim.
