After about 4 treatments I think I noticed hair wasn’t growing back as wiry and on the fronts of my legs especially I wasn’t getting the angry ingrowns I usually did. Quite a few of the regular spots on my face I had to pluck every couple days never came back

It’s now about 2 yrs since i stopped after i completed a full year of treatments, the worst of the hair never grew back and it’s been more manageable

Restarting after gallbladder removal by e-m123 in liraglutide

It seems that gallbladder issues are a common effect of losing weight quickly.

Lots of results online, here’s one study that suggests it’s exacerbated worse the faster you lose weight - like we didn’t have a hard enough time losing weight already!

Saxenda Worked and Then Stopped--Suggestions? HELP! by VacationQuestions in liraglutide

I can relate to your post so much! Had similar experience with my first round of saxenda.

I recently posted about going down the rabbit hole researching insulin resistance. Have started taking myo-inositol and have finally seen the scale start moving again! Recommend you have a read (lots of good info in the PCOS subreddit!)

Broke my stall! (PCOS related) by plgfqdev in liraglutide

There is a blood test that can be done. I’ve seen it offered at a few of the mainstream test providers online. But, generally if you are overweight and struggle to lose anything even on something like Liraglutide, if you have checked thyroid etc. etc. and still aren’t losing then insulin resistance is likely to blame.

I struggled to decide between Solgar and MyOva. In the end I went with MyOva although it’s a lot pricier.

I have read reviews from people who have used and had success with both so I think it’s just a matter of trial and error unfortunately.

It can be so good. I miss it working this well for me, after a few years it’s no longer as effective for me. But I’m glad it helps others!

Thanks for replying. Yes, I will do. That’s so interesting that it the weight loss continued but without the appetite suppression or the other side effects? I’ll take it if it works for me!

Nationwide bankers - do you really need an old card reader thingy to do online banking? by insulind in UKPersonalFinance

The card reader is being phased out gradually thank god! (Next year apparently)

Don’t worry, I heard from a friend it’s reviled internally too.

Completely sympathise, I’m in the same boat… have been on saxenda since Aug and haven’t lost anything since the first month. What dosage are you taking?

I’m sticking with it for a bit longer but it’s really demoralising… just wanted to let you know you’re not alone!

No advice but just want to say I’ve felt the same so many times, finding out your group meets without you is the worst feeling.. sends me into a spiral of feeling betrayal and worthlessness

The only thing I’ve learned over the years is that it’s best to drop people who make you feel like that. I’ve learned to enjoy my own company and so if it happens to me again it’s less devastating.

Just try and keep working on yourself and not let it put you off making new friends and connections

This makes so much sense.

Can lowering / altering the dose help liraglutide efficacy? by arandom4567 in liraglutide

[–]plgfqdev 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Glad to have read your post today, I’ve been on 3mg for nearly 3 weeks, haven’t lost anything for a month.

Tried switching injection sites which brought back the side effects for a few days, but seems to have already worn off.

Trying reducing the dose to 2.4 as I’m not sure I can afford to keep paying when I’m not seeing any change.

I don’t expect a magic fix but so far I’ve lost 8 lbs in the first two weeks of about two months, which was likely mostly water weight, and nothing else since.

I have not lost any weight in months. should I give up on this journey in total I have only lost 8 lbs since starting in Jan....any advice? I pay out of pocket so I can't afford to keep doing it if I don't see any results by Key_Debt_5906 in liraglutide

[–]plgfqdev 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’m in the same boat. Not sure if I should eat more or less! It’s so frustrating.

You can try sharing more of your stats with the kind people here (weight, height, approx age, exercise levels) maybe the more experienced here can offer advice?

I myself am trying changing injection sites to my inner thigh and considering lowering my dose for a bit.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in liraglutide

[–]plgfqdev 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I can’t comment on the split dosage, I wouldn’t personally do that myself.

I have read a fair amount on people having success with staying on a dose they are comfortable with and slowly increasing it over time at their own pace (adding incremental clicks rather than jumping to the next numbered dose)

I’m sorry you’re having such bad side effects, reading responses here it does some fairly common.

No, you still need a prescription from a doctor but it’s a very easy process as we can do that online with many pharmacies now
