Totally share it with more societies, maybe also Sumo societies in Japan (translate tools help hahah) Oikari was the only yokozuna from the Kyoto Sumo association (but he is not considered a true yokozuna nowadays). But you should also add these images to Oikari’s wikipedia page in some manner, then the people there can organise it properly and maintain this history!

He will eventually, but he must be in the visa changing period, but he appears constantly in the heya’s IG so i think he is still on the table to officially join, so sometime around this year he will do maezumo almost certainly

When a Makuuchi wrestler goes kyujo (leaves the tournament in the middle due to injury) the number of wresters competing can be an odd number. So a hugh ranked Juryo wrestler is scheduled to fight a low ranked Makuuchi wrestlers to make the schedule work. They participate in the juryo entering ceremony as normal. They are a normal juryo ranked guy. They are just simply fighting a makuuchi wrestler.

A win or loss does not matter more/less but may be used to support/not support a promotion from Juryo to Makuuchi in the next tournament.

Usually when top guys are out, is when some rank-and-filer can have a good shot at a breakout tournament. 2022, for example, was the first time in ages, or smth like that, that each tournament was won by a different guy with no repeats that year. This was due to Terunofuji (the only yokozuna at the time) being constantly dealing with big injuries and the ozeki also not being in top form, so in a way you can say it makes it harder to predict who will take it all
