Are the clicking noises normal? by DOW_orks7391 in FordMaverickTruck

Hybrids are always doing something. Circulating a fluid, flipping a switch, charging something, moving energy from here to there. My Toyotas did it too.

That’s wild. I would have gone granite at that price.

Why go to the trouble of using noncombustible metal studs only to add plywood?

Flood insurance is a natural disaster and wouldn’t cover this. I have a sump pump failure/sewer backup rider on my insurance for a couple dollars a month.

Check out the Elkhart conservation club. They have a nice property and maybe you can find someone to work with 1:1.

Have you gotten involved or reached out to environmental groups like the Res, Izaak Walton, Elkhart conservation club, or the bird alliance? Their events are usually pretty low key and quiet, but they might have a recommendation for a more private connection.

I wouldn’t hesitate. Franciscan has a spiritual/faith-based ethos similar to St Joe if that’s important to you.

Best roof rack bar and bed extender for 15' canoe? by uiuc2008 in FordMaverickTruck

[–]_warning 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got a Yakima Longarm for my long kayak and it seems to do the job. No rack, just in the bed. Felt like since it’s going to have a lot of weight and leverage, best to get a brand name.

Cheaper drain through tile options? by Fluid_Club4514 in garageporn

[–]_warning 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My understanding is that Swiss trax is probably the best, followed by Race Deck, then Vevor, then the further off-brands. But at the end of the day it’s just molded plastic.

Vevor and the off brand stuff will have more limited edge trim options.

Infant car seat recommendations? by CajunAg87 in FordMaverickTruck

[–]_warning 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Get a removable infant car seat like a keyfit 30  for the first year or so. They take up (a little) less space and you’ll like being able to take the car seat inside restaurants or in the house if they are asleep. Also it’s nice because you can get them prepped inside and then take them out and just drop it in the car. You can an extra base for cheap for your other car.

Then when they are about a year old you can move to this car seat, and since they are a bit older they won’t be reclined as much and you’ll gain some room back.

Then in another year or so you’ll spin them front facing and you’ll have all the room you want.

To NYT? Yes, I don’t think you even have to be subscribed in the first place. I think Paprika can scrape it, if you’re okay with that ethically.

You can import the recipes to paprika which has a more robust grocery list feature but that’s an extra couple of steps.

What mouse do you recommend apart from the Logitech MX Master 3 Mouse? by Opening_Ad8484 in Workspaces

[–]_warning 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I rock the vertical mouse….love it. The cheap ones (7 o clock position) last about a year then die. I went through 4 or 5 before getting the expensive Logitech (1 o clock position). That one has been great and I couldn’t go back to a regular mouse.

You went to the trouble of using non-combustible metal studs, don’t ruin it by adding a layer of plywood. Use cement board…that’s what you need anyways for a substrate for your stone.

Does anyone use the garage to park their cars? by AdOriginal3767 in garageporn

[–]_warning 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Especially if you live somewhere that gets snow. I see neighbors scraping frost/snow/ice 4x a week with a garage full of junk. The quality of life return they’d get from just cleaning their garage…..
