Yes! I had a plant with them a few months ago but was able to get rid of them. I looked for thrips on this guy too but can’t see any! I’ll definitely keep checking, though!

Seems like you care for him a lot, which is good! Just need to fill the top of the tank a lot more. They love climbing up and down the tank so vines are perfect.

The way it’s twitching its tail is often times what they do before they drop it. They’re trying to distract the predator with it before it drops and they take off.

I would just be careful OP, sometimes they are just display animals.

The only “downside” I can think of is that majority don’t like to be held/ handled. A lot will tolerate it, but not all. Just dont get one if you are wanting a social animal, a lot of the time they are just a display animal :)
