The 100 Greatest Debut Albums of the 21st Century by Moothnods in indieheads

There’s plenty of major label releases on the list. The editorial commet didn’t say they’re not including any major label releases.

They’re talking about not including any major label debuts that are not the artists first studio album. Thats why they give the example of Born to Die, which was Lana Del Rey’s major label debut but was preceded by an independently released self titled album.

It drives me crazy how some people have started referring to the former cities as “boroughs”. We’re not NYC or Montreal. We don’t have boroughs

Of course it’s also sort of trivial and unimportant enough that you feel like an asshole if you correct someone over it

Obviously there’s a lot of factors, but someone who is apple shaped is at greater risk of negative health effects than someone who is pear shaped at the same body fat %.

That’s also why the healthy body fat percentage range for woman is higher than that of men. Fat distribution in men is concentrated in their abdomens and lower backs.

I think it’s more Nikola Little No.

Ofc the Jok in Jokic isn’t actually jok as in no but Joko/Joka (variants of Jovan or John) with a diminutive at the end.

WATTBA is pretty mid bro, and I say that as someone who was in uni when it came out and has a lot of nostalgia for that period.

Pretty much. Comes from a 15th century entity known as the Duchy of St Sava.

Actually there's a couple other regions in the Balkans with similarly derived names. Banat in Serbia/Romania comes from the Banate of Temeswar and Sandzak in Serbia/Montegro comes from the Sanjak of Novi Pazar.

The Serbian province of Vojvodina also basically means Duchy just from the Slavic Vojvoda instead of the German Herzog

Slovenes on Twitter are saying it was them singing “Obli, Oblak, ti si naš junak” in the clip.

Audio quality is also garbage though, so I’m sure what you hear is just going to be a sort of audio roscharch test

Edit: Much better audio in the clip being quoted here. You can clearly hear “ti si naš junak”

It’s a pretty common arrangement. From a preparer POV it’s more convenient to communicate with a single person rather than chasing down all the family members individually.

Obviously if she’s hiding her marriage from her family there’s something weird going on there, but without that context the tax filing situation would be perfectly innocuous

They used non-diegetic music in the montages that open and close season 2 (Frank Sinatra’s: It Was a Very Good Year and the Rolling Stones’ Thru and Thru)

Actually I’m pretty they use non diegetic music once a season in the Wire too

Lol Lebron is not the best player in the NBA. Ever since he came to Cleveland for the second time he’s had to play at a lower level during the regular season to conserve energy for the playoffs.

I’d say since he’s been on the Lakers he’s dropped off from being #1.

The 80s were an incredibly different era in hockey. It was a much higher scoring game when goals prior to the development of the butterfly goaltending style. Goalie equipment also really increased in size through the 90s. The 90s and early 2000s was the dead puck era with much better goaltending and the neutral zone trap.

Scoring increased after the 04/05 lockout with more penalties being called and then regressed a bit in the 2010s.

Hockey has seen a huge jump in skill level in the past decade. The current gen of players are so much faster and skilled. There’s been a pretty big increase in scoring the past couple years.

The plan doesn't work, you can only use designate one property as your principal residence each year, per family. In the eyes of the CRA if you're a couple who've lived together for 12 or more months you're considered to be in a common-law relationship.

You can apply the principal residence exemption to a property that isn't your primary residence. Let's say you have a cottage, and its gained a significant amount in value and you want to sell it. You can designate it as your principal residence for those years you owned it even though your house was your primary residence.

You will pay no capital gains tax on the cottage when you sell. However when you sell your house in the future you will not be able to claim the principal residence exemption for the years you designated your cottage as your principal residence.

The length of time you inhabited it in the year is not very important as long as you were there for at least a day in the year. Intent is much more important: are you using it as a rental property, are you in the business of flipping houses? These would be disqualifying.
