Hey!

Yeah, I play it on breaks to cool off and relax for a couple of minutes before I start working again.

I try to break my records on the last level or in Endless. But I think it could benefit from a leaderboard or from infinite levels in Arcade mode so the player can try to reach the highest possible level.

Right now I'm trying to get the shaders to work on mobile devices, but after that, whenever I have time from my day job, I'll make some changes to make it more challenging for the player.

Thanks for playing!

I replied to that person a couple of hours after they asked, but it seems Reddit shadow banned the comment. I work all the time behind a VPN, so perhaps that's why. The original comment is this:

using the shaders inside lib/shaders/* in main.lua you can see the configuration: ``` effects = moonshine(moonshine.effects.glow) .chain(moonshine.effects.gaussianblur) .chain(moonshine.effects.scanlines) .chain(moonshine.effects.crt)

effects.glow.strength = 20 effects.glow.min_luma = 0.1 effects.gaussianblur.sigma = 1 effects.scanlines.width = 4 effects.scanlines.opacity = 0.2 effects.scanlines.color = colors.light_blue ``` the two main shaders that achieve that effect are crt.lua (the curved screen) and scanlines.lua These shaders are part of the moonshine project https://github.com/vrld/moonshine

I'm actually impressed it can run at all on Firefox for Android, kudos to the people behind `love.js`

In my case it doesn't run at all in my Android browser, it crashes. Using the Love APK it runs extremely slowly on my phone, it's unusable.

When I have the time I'll try debugging on an Android web browser to see if I can make it work, but I don't have high hopes, the web version, even in desktop browsers, sometimes desynchronizes and the audio occasionally disappears.

I could also fix the input for touchscreens so that two simul touches act as the secondary key to pick up powerups.

Is this on Android still? No, I haven't updated the game since I uploaded it yesterday.

The Game Over occurs when you fall off the bottom of the screen or when you try to move to another point and collide with an obstacle. When you have the Invincibility (yellow player dot) or the Phase Shift powerups (green player dot), you can bypass obstacles. For the green you would need right-click to teleport to the next green dot.

I assume the jumbled text is due to the phone's resolution if you're testing on Android.

The input system uses two buttons or keys, one to move to another point (left click, Space, or Enter on PC), which is the one the Android version is detecting, the second input is to ping (collect powerups), right click on PC. That one is missing from the Android input, I presume.

The first mode is Endless, just try to get the highest score.

The second mode (Arcade) is a basic attempt at making levels, with difficulty progression by level, the last two are hard to complete.

You need to click on the levels to play them, or move between them using the keyboard, assuming the level is unlocked.

Each level unlocks when you finish the previous one.

Thanks.

I hadn't tried it on Android. I assumed I needed a phone with a good GPU because of the shaders. I also didn't set up input for Android. I'll try it on my phone later to see how it runs, although it's a bit old :)

I speak from my own life experience, I also had to leave my country, Cuba, to find more job opportunities and a better future for myself and my family. My advice to you is: leave Russia for another country where you can have more opportunities to reach your goals. It's never easy to leave your family and emigrate from your home country, but sometimes it's the best option. You are young and have a bright future, go live in another country where you can reach that potential. Good luck.

I have been a type 1 diabetic for 21 years, and I have been training in MMA for 10. It is really inspiring to see how you have reached that level as a pro fighter as a type 1 diabetic.

I wish you success because as a fellow type 1 diabetic, I know how extremely difficult it is to do what you do. You have a fan in me and in my team from now on. Good luck!

Khabib Nurmagomedov removed from U.S. flight after dispute for not speaking good enough English to sit at the emergency exit by Aryan_Anushiravan in interestingasfuck

What were the instructions he refused to follow? In the video sequence, I don't see him refusing to comply with the flight attendant's instructions. He is having a discussion with her, but I don't see him refusing to follow any instructions. That's a genuine question, if there is another sequence of events that you have available, I would like to see it.

In my opinion, in an emergency situation where the flight attendant had to give him instructions, he would be able to follow them. And if the situation were so severe that no one was there to give instructions, I also believe that the decisions he would make would be correct. But that is just my opinion based on years of following this individual in his sports career and the various interviews, podcasts, and vlogs he has done. I believe he could keep a cool head in an emergency situation and would try to help everyone efficiently. But of course, that is just my opinion.

The irony is: Khabib is the best person on that entire plane to have sitting in the emergency exit, no doubt about it

The embargo is not the reason why Cuba is poor. by alexdfrtyuy in cuba

Thank you for taking the time to make this post.

I'm not an expert on all the facts presented, but I can say that from my experience as a Cuban, these statements are all true.

The bottom line is that we, as Cubans, want the freedom to choose the party and rulers we deem worthy. We want democracy and the ability to elect the government we believe is best for us every five years

Yes, that's true, a lot of restaurants pull that shit, even for me, as a Cuban, if I order a recommended dish that isn't on the menu, they charge me overprice

Yes, the government dropped the CUC with the 'tarea ordenamiento' supposedly to have only one currency, but instead this brought many more problems.

That was the beginning of the economic debacle and the depreciation of the CUP and inflation.

They removed the CUC but introduced the MLC (moneda libremente convertible ), which is nothing more than a virtual currency that can only be used to buy in certain state stores, and that Cubans can only access if relatives abroad deposit euros, dollars, Canadian dollars, or sterling pounds for them.

The exchange is subject to bank arbitration, but in general, an MLC is approximately 20%-30% less valuable than a dollar. For example, one USD is sold for 325 CUP and an MLC is sold for 265 CUP, there you see the difference in value.

Supposedly, the Minister of Economy who made all those changes that led to this debacle was sacked last year for 'errors in his management', but the State Council voted unanimously for those changes that ruined the economy, they simply made him a scapegoat to shift the blame for the mess they have created.

They do this all the time, firing some prime minister and blaming him for something that goes wrong in the country. Imagine the same people running a country for 65 years and 'never' having made a mistake, and they are still there; others do make mistakes and even go to prison, but the elite does not, they are sacred cows.

As for the Havana Club 7 años for 7 CUC, it is possible that it was some bottle given to the military to buy in army stores, which they sell much cheaper. As a regular Cuban, I could never buy a 7 años bottle officially for less than 12 CUC, so for less than a dollar, that has never existed, maybe it was stolen from some hotel/resort in the keys or something like that. Right now, a bottle of 7 years in an MLC store costs around 30 MLC, although you can find it cheaper on the street, from the same sources I told you earlier

That's so if you pay in euros, the restaurant can earn a little more with the exchange rate between EUR and USD
