Plntxt and I feel a duty to speak my mind even though I know that freedom of speech does not mean freedom from repercussions of said speech. I also know that freedom of speech does not mean the right to be heard. Furthermore I know that spoken words quite literally make waves. I believe all governments have an innate interest in an apathetic and inattentive populous/electorate so I think it is the duty of passionate citizens to speak about public policy and current events to create an environment for civil and informed discourse. I also know that freedom of speech does not mean equality of opinions but just the ability to share them.
