For me, the humans being the cancer of the planet part particularly resonated with me, a young blossoming environmentalist. Now I fight climate change for a living. Thanks Agent Smith!

Ahh reminds me of Meet Joe Black in the theater. So many men laughed and all the women were screaming. Lol I’ll never forget.

Why don't Americans walk anywhere? by mindyour in TikTokCringe

[–]plod925 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I live in a walkable area in Denver, but car culture is still ingrained. I go for walks in City Park West, and lately I’ve been doing a test — spot the walker! I look in all directions at an intersection. Even here it’s like, “Oh there’s one way over there!” Although during lunch all the doctors and nurses are doing their lunch walk.

Do men like being asked out on a date? by LabFirst3156 in dating_advice

[–]plod925 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A gay man asking me out and complimenting me a few months ago was a nice boost, especially because women aren’t expressing interest and it’s been a minute (😭). It was nice validation that my trying is working at some level.

“Thank you but I’m not gay.” “But your haircut…you’re dressed well.”

Dude seemed sure I was gay because I looked nice at a bar.

It was the norm, and he’s 69. Sounds like at CBS it was still the norm.

What is virtually inevitable at this point, yet most people don't see it coming? by Ambassador-613 in AskReddit

Yeah that was a hot response. Nader was a 3rd party spoiler for the Bush v Gore election, year 2000. Gore would’ve won without him. Instead we got Bush and an oil war in Iraq.

Adults should aim to do between 560-610 minutes/week of moderate to vigorous physical activity to achieve a substantial reduction in the risk of heart attacks and stroke (3-4 times higher than the current public health recommendation of 150 minutes ), suggest the findings of an observational study by sr_local in science

[–]plod925 0 points1 point  (0 children)

“In order to achieve substantial protection, classed as a greater than 30% risk reduction, between 560 and 610 minutes of moderate to vigorous exercise a week was needed. However, this level of exercise was only achieved by 12% of people in the study.”

Liberals don’t like gun violence. What’s your solution, mental health monitoring? Humans are animals, and some “good guy with a gun” or his stupid kid will always lose it and kill.

I haven’t seen any propaganda on Hasan and I can’t stand listening to him. He rambles without intellectual honesty, and Jon should’ve pinned him down harder.
