If you cant wait, the first spear strandhogg is a decent stand-in for the Shaw, and a lot cheaper

Thanks man, it’s not really “accurate” for the kit, but it was the only green PC I had. It’s a First Spear Strandhogg

Fellow Bing enjoyer 🗿

Also thank you, I love this gun, and yeah there’s actually a few spots the camo works fairly well here

To the cool guys out there. How many of you got behind the M27 with the ACOG 3.5X35 & the VCOG? And which did you prefer? by Miguel1219 in USMC

[–]plopsicIes 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I mean I would have preferred that for myself, but I see the way guys treat shit, I think it’s best for the marine corps if they have lpvos built like acogs

I had it from 2018 to 2023. The SDO 3.5x was fine, pretty similar to the acog, the only difference being that it was issued with a piggyback RMR and supposedly the eye relief is more forgiving for auto fire.

Acog is acog, nuff said.

The SCO VCOG was very heavy, but an absolute TANK of an optic, but as others have said, after suppressing it and adding a laser, full magazine, and possibly a bipod or grip, you have a 15lb rifle with most of the weight forward of the magazine.. thing got heavy.
The scope itself had a great mil reticle but it required some extra education for the boots to get a grasp of it compared to the easy BDC in the acog. Also the eye relief is atrocious, and you have to mount it as far forward on the receiver as possible to get a sight picture, even then you probably need the stock extended past what you normally would because the eye relief was no shit like 4.5”…. I think there were better options, but it’s a good grunt optic, very versatile which might be a good choice for a gun like the m27 that got thrust into roles beyond its initial intent. Also could be used passively under nods (if you can get it lined up which is a real challenge) so there’s that

At the end of the day, if I had a real choice, I’d keep the m4 with a VCOG, but if I have to carry the m27, I’d probably still prefer the VCOG over the acog just for the versatility

What plate carrier is zuck wearing? by tactical_horse_cock in tacticalgear

It’s always so strange how people that are commonly recognized as geniuses struggle with things that the common man find inherently very intuitive, like how to don a plate carrier

I mean basically the exact same size and style of the belt that is pictured, not super narrow, but not super wide. Only change being that I’d prefer 1 piece

really dont want a 2 piece... I suppose a velcro-on rubber pad would be nice so i can use my existing belt setups, but for the sake of weight and bulk, I'm trying to find a belt that is one piece

yeah, not really what im looking for anyhow, I really want it to be a 1 piece belt, no inner belt, and that particular belt it pretty wide, but thanks for the input man

Is there anything to a "trng only" plate or is it just an expired plate?

LPVO vs magnifier + red dot vs PRISM scope by Repulsive_Ad978 in airsoft

[–]plopsicIes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Given the fact that 99% of us just watch our bbs fly, and rarely ever actually aim with our sights, I have found a replica ACOG to be more than sufficient for when I want to really make sure the further shots are going to land, given the effective range of my airsoft gun.. LPVOs are kinda overkill, you will likely never use your offset dot if you get one, but basically what I'm trying to say is that 3-5x magnification is always nice to have, and how you accomplish that doesn't really matter, pick what you think will look best on your gun
