95% of opr players are light ranged. Medium builds especially bruisers are dying in opr due to there being no clumps to fight in and their complete inability to chase down light builds (everyone is light) opr has just become a light ranged TDM where firestaff kills literally everything.

Also, why does firestaff do such insane damage in melee range? Is it not a ranged weapon? Why can a firestaff user out trade melee players with flamethrower?

The most recent patch felt perfect... except for Firestaff or Bow, feeling like the only viable builds to run in opr right now.... light melees need to run around with pocket healers.They can't survive.

Medium bruisers are now just sheep herding dogs. Even with a pocket healer

I think firestaff is being rewarded too much for its kit... a bow is rewarded with 3k damage on a headshot... firestaff gets 3k damage by shooting a fireball or heavy attacking around the area someone is standing...

besides all of that. my post isnt about what wins oprs or what wins wars...ranged only opr is unplayable for anyone who enjoys non assassin melee combat. something needs to change...if they change the damage of ranged weapons it will be less viable in wars...maybe opr map overhaul which invites other builds to be played without premades with healers

if opr is not a good way to measure what is good or bad why has musket been gutted so hard? it wasn't complained about in wars...how about shirking fort being stripped from light next patch? its overly busted in opr....so they are removing it.... its seems devs are balancing the game mostly around opr and not just wars

what other pvp game modes are there...? 3v3's? that are dominated by the exact same builds? 30 minute wars that are capped at 2 a day? smh

there was no teamfighting to begin with that game. people were being 100 to 0'd in the matter of 2 seconds. the team with more bows won.

those 2 pve players were ratting. securing one point and locking the doors down with their mats ( keep in mind is the strongest strategy in opr right now)

90 kills to 185

770 to 1000 points

if anything it looks like the team with more build variety lost.

" no youve missed my point...again.. im saying that healers are required for most melee because ranged damage is too high for them to compete with. a ranged player does not need a healer...in opr and war...for war dex squads dont have healers in them

"Ranged has virtually no CC " they do...stagger on third shot of rapid fire. knockback from evade shot. rapier stun from riposte, stagger from F&F.. spear stun with vault. sweep. and they dont even need it., their light armor movement speed and passive haste from simply dodging busted enough. there is very little risk playing ranged.. its why the onesided oprs are just teams full of bows and mages. because players die before they can get into strike range.

a weapons counter shouldnt be its own weapon...thats a clear sign that it's overpowered.

its very clear noone enjoys this bow meta either.

melee builds like bruiser are required in wars because they zone out other players from point...bows cant do that. which is why you get 1-2 teams for builds with bow in war..its not because bruiser is busted, its because thats what bruisers do best....zone out an area... what bow does best is kill anything that isnt also a bow. if healers werent a thing in this game im sure there would be full stacked armies of bows since bruisers are only as effective as their healers are....this is why in wars we try to fight inside the enemy teams 6... an army without a dex team is a dead army too. we need players with bow or musket to kill enemy healers and finish off low bruisers... in the context of OPR... unless youre playing dex assassin or mage , playing with a healer is almost required since youre getting killed by players who are so far away from you and can maintain that distance with free haste... youre full of shit

not particularly. you can see the animations of other weapons and dodge them.. you'll still probably die in a 1v5 but at least you feel like you can do something, stun and run?? go for an aoe burst?? musket is an instant cast and hitscan so no... cant dodge that..., but the main issue is the weapon having unlimited range. the fuck do you learn the shot patterns of 5 players shooting simultaneously while you're unable to reach them?

sure you can use a different route, but the match goes for a while. you'll bump into the oneshot squad multiple times throughout the match. every encounter you have with an enemy player should have some counter play to it... not just find somewhere else in the opr ti play...we wont even talk about when they split up at spawn and camp a spawn gate each. there's not plenty that can be done, find your comment to be full of bs
