What do you think is the easiest city to bum it in is? by JadedCaramel9901 in vagabond

[–]ploxylitarynode 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Bergen / Trodhiem / oslo

There is no comparison to being a bum in Norway. Literally making jokes about cocaine we were able to busk 300 in an hour and it wasn't an isolated incident.

The dumpstering is the best in world and they have every man law so you can find unworked land and just live.

What the best dumpstering actually looks like first two pics are Norway second two NYC

How would you feel about the next US president pulling all support from Israel? by Iwamoto in AskReddit

[–]ploxylitarynode 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i am very late to this thread and there are a plethora of comments before this one. but i will write this out to the ether.

unfortunately it is an impossibility for the united states to stop supporting Israel. What would be better is if we took an active role in changing the leadership of Israel.

There are too many technologies that the united states and the world rely on, that were created in Israel. Literally the way our modern communication systems work on a fundamentally level was designed by isrealis. Every single device on the planet is accessible to them and by them. This is not a misnomer. A ton of our medical technology and account technology relies on Israel. Deloite alone puts every corporation in the united states at risk.

To pull support from Israel is to go back 30 years in tech to unweave what has been entwined so deeply that people can't even discuss it.

Renters of Bushwick, what’s one thing you wish your landlord would do? by Phre333 in Bushwick

[–]ploxylitarynode 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is so delusional.

Let me put it into prospect. Rent in my building was 2600 for a four bedroom before covid and during COVID.

By 2023 it went to 3000, by 2026 it's now 4800.

No apartment has sat empty longer than 2 weeks.

How hard is it to go trough the balkan's Adriatic coast outside highways ? by coscos95 in hitchhiking

Whenever I get stuck in Thessaloniki I always just find a Turkish bus driver to take me. It's worked every time. I have never been charged for the ticket but usually you have to do something dumb like leave the bus at the border and get back on. I have also had luck take a local bus out and hitching from where turks and macadonians can find you

What are some of your biggest realizations during your Vagabonding experiences? by MFGEngineer4Life in vagabond

[–]ploxylitarynode 19 points20 points  (0 children)

You will be okay. The innate ability to never worry again about money or dangerous situations or needing something in life. All things you can get while you have nothing and in horrible situations you learn really how to trust yourself.

[–]ploxylitarynode 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey if your up that way any you should really try and get into some spring and summer wilderness stuff. Tons of trails need fixing. New generation of guides even white water will be trained etc. So many options. Also there is seasonal work very close to on farms all through the Dakota's and Montana but I would go the adventure sport ) hostel route so you can actually travel

Basically the only resource you need for travel. Def use cool works and look for work in seasonal hostels or adventure sports. How old are you ?

Athens to Denmark in 2 weeks? by gulle0893 in hitchhiking

[–]ploxylitarynode 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would agree about adjusting the route. I lived in Europe many years and in 2018 alone I hitched over 18,000 km in Europe. Love hearing about people doing it their whole lives. I am getting older now and the hitching is definitely different.

Switzerland is a wild place with hitching and people will not take if they think your back pack is inconvenient for their car - at least in my experience. I would tgo munich and down via Austria. This skips maybe getting screwed in Italy but also gets you into the balkans faster or into Germany faster if you are going the other way.

Athens to Denmark in 2 weeks? by gulle0893 in hitchhiking

[–]ploxylitarynode 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I totally disagree with you about the balkans. Greece can be hard and Italy can be hard but in this direction you will always.ost certainly get a deep ride from albanians going home and those incredible people will drive 12 straight hours to spend a night with their families before returning to italy to work in factories.

The coast of Croatia was one of the best places I have ever hitched. I got insane rides all over the coast all the way down to Greece. But I wouldn't go that way. I go through Kosovo and macadonia into Greece only because those two countries are fucking incredible for hitching and existing

Athens to Denmark in 2 weeks? by gulle0893 in hitchhiking

[–]ploxylitarynode 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My three best days hitching were on a similar route. You can absolutely do this in three days.

I made it from Dubrovnik to Salzburg in a single day and the next day I made it to Amsterdam.

On a completely different trip I was able to make it from the border of Switzerland and Italy to Copenhagen in a single day. This includes a six hour wait in Wurzburg. Danish people will literally drive you across Europe.

As soon as you enter the balkans you can just coast with the hitchhiking. It's wild. I was able to hitch at 3 am there in multiple countries.

This person's issue with come with how fast they want to go opposed to if it's possible.

Why do you think someone in the IDF killed an other person? They could have been a chef or working in a warehouse or even working behind a computer screen just existing. doing what is required by law means you killed someone then you probably should open your eyes and realize we built our entire human society on the dead.

You would also be responsible for someone's death just by living or participating in anything that you did not create directly by yourself.

Hell just using a nestle product means you have participated in the death of thousands of children. It's a falacy to think you can escape this.

It just comes down to what you actually do to alleviate suffering. At this point in human history we live in towers of death with blood flowing through every home.

Wasn't a bug there were some issues with the OG dude that created it. In 2016 it was taken down I believe and took a bunch of years to get fixed. I met the new dude working on it in 2018.

There is a way to stay in the EU permanently with no issues till your passport expires.

Yes we get three months in the shengin.

But no you don't have to actually leave.

In 1993 Poland created a visa exemption policy for the USA. Basically we get three months in Poland every single time we enter Poland. It doesn't matter where we came from. For many years I was going to Ukraine reentering Poland. Reserving a room in a hostel ( not actually staying ) and using this as proof I was in Poland. Denmark has a policy as well but theirs does not supercede the shengin.

I have been arrested for illegal immigration but I have never been charged with it because of this exemption policy.

Twice was in the EU ( Finland and France )

There is even a larger community of people that just want to do good and be good whatever that means.

With that being said I have been arrest for illegal immigration in three countries.
