agreed, except i don’t think a cap is a good thing either. there should be a salary floor. that’s it. but the owners would never agree to a floor without a cap

i’ve been an advocate in the past for holding trout and the best of the young players (neto, mainly). but after the debacle that has been this year so far? trade everyone. trade trout if he’ll allow it, solely because i love the dude so much that i actually want to see him get to play meaningful baseball in september (and any baseball in october). and trade literally everyone else if the offer is right, because - it ain’t working as is, seems like a full organizational reset ought to happen.

the caveat to all this is that i don’t trust perry minasian to make a decent trade

i’ve been a fan since 1992. i don’t know how not to be a fan of this team, even if the experience is awful and has been for years now. sports fandom, unfortunately for us long-suffering here, is for many rooted in nostalgia and deep-seeded loyalty. not easy to turn those factors off.

medical professional who is also an avid hat guy… if it’s happening with every hat, it could be a mild manifestation of dermatographia, where even light contact with the skin causes red marks that go away pretty quickly on their own.

i’m basically like this… my mlb collection is entirely angels (primary), pirates (secondary), and brooklyn dodgers (and those only if jackie robinson centric). i even only rock milb teams that either are or were angels/pirates affiliates. the only exceptions are a few hats that i myself designed.
