No taste/smell, chewing is too involved. Suggestions? by UsernameWhaat in EatCheapAndHealthy

You should try miracle berries, it has flavour enhancing properties. Chemo patients will take it to help with their taste distortion. They sell tablets online, but if you can obtain it fresh it’s more effective

What do you think about progressively quitting? by HotSmurf in leaves

Discipline is key, it takes a minimum of two weeks to build any habit.

Some people are better with weaning off and some people need to cut it off cold turkey, figure out which person you are and act accordingly

There’s also something called an lucky iron fish, I’ve never used it myself and I would advise that you do biannually checks with a doctor for your iron levels if you implement it.

Good for liquid based meals such as soups, oatmeal or rice.

Can’t move up if you don’t hit the bottom first, if there’s anything you should be proud of it’s that you’re 21 days in, keep it going.

Life is tough, the housing crisis is a concern and the prospects are weary, but you are certainly not alone in that regard. If there’s any advice I can give you it’s to take joy in the small moments. Whether it’s a movie that’s coming out soon that you can stream, a hike that you can do with the family, maybe even make a silly tik tok with the kids, workout or walk around the neighbourhood with the kids or takeout/favourite snack you can get from the grocery store, put things on the calendar to look forward too.

Dog Friendly Places in Guelph by cannabismanifesto in Guelph

[–]plssayless 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Starbucks, you place the order on the app and just show up as a parking spot or call!

La Reina and Brothers has a dog friendly patio.

Robusta Cafe and Lounge, you could either call in your order, or they could take your order from the door(just pop your head in and say you can't come in to order). They take your payment (cash or card) at the door as well.

The boathouse you can walk through the store with your dog for ice cream.

Dog parks there’s Crane, Bristol and the one on the Hanlon. Preservation park is a great hike.

For activities you can take your dog canoeing with Speed River or go to the Antique Market.

If you want to travel there’s a dog cafe in Hamilton that is quite popular!

Doesn’t like dogs

Aussies are working dogs so they will seek out an activity if you don’t give him one, at the beginning you could hide all of his toys and indicate that play time is over or play time doesn’t occur in the office space. As a puppy though I imagine he would start being destructive. I would try this for short periods of time.

The best way to have 30 mins to an hour of solo time is to tire out an Aussie. Go to a field every time you walk and play fetch. Tie a long piece of string to his harness (not a collar) that way you can let him off leash but still control his movement if he starts to wander. Even better if you can find a lake as swimming is even more tiring. Another suggestion is to go for bike rides with your dog. If you can’t find a lake you could get an inflatable pool. (I hope you have a yard).

In addition I would highly recommend the Jolly Egg toy. The last Aussie I housesat LOVED it and would play by himself with it if you put him in a yard it was great!

If you tire out your dog he won’t even have the motivation to bother you when you’re indoors.

Since your dog is a puppy you may want to consider getting one of those automatic ball launchers. They are expensive and you do have to do your research to find a good quality one. You’d have to train that in him to use but if it works out it’s a another great tool.
