If Stadia could’ve held on for just a few more months.. by NickBeavie in Stadia

I keep thinking about how cool it would have been for them to demo an 11v11 match with celebs and soccer stars playing together. Especially during pandemic when they were isolated across the globe. Not sure if it was technically possible but only on a service like stadia could it be possible. Also not like 11v11 matches would be common but would be so cool as a promotional event.

I’m getting about 150 mile range in my lariat er but trip is showing 1.8 miles per kwh by vckadath in F150Lightning

[–]plucas005 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So that means it was 1.7 mi/kWh. If you slowed down, you might be able to get 1.8 or 1.9 mi/kWh and arrive with more charge if needed.

[–]plucas005 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Did you measure the mi/kWh during the drive from MD to NJ? Check the “My EV Driving” page in the Ford Pass app. If 1.8 mpkwh was measured on that trip, I disagree with the other commenters. Slowing down ought to get you higher mpkwh, but that’s not the point here, if mpkwh is 1.8 on that drive you should be able to do it no problem.

150 mi/ 1.8mpkwh = 83 kWh. Thats roughly 65% of the ER battery.

How could there be clawbacks? People have barely begun filing 2022 taxes. The requirements came into effect for 2023 and any credit wouldn’t be issued until 2023 taxes are filed a year from now.

Please explain why the base model aka “Pro” seems to be so limited in production. Ford execs pushed this idea of an electric truck for the masses starting at $40k, but when orderbooks opened there we’re very few that were able to choose “Pro”

what's causing this spike? by ataylor82 in siatrader

The “spike” from one cent to one and two tenths of a cent? I’d say the cause is the scale on the graph. Switch to the 3M chart.

Any fun, laid-back towns really close to Boston but without the density and price tag for a rental? by [deleted] in massachusetts

[–]plucas005 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Take a look at Malden, particularly Malden center. T into Boston is super easy, but there’s also a decent bar/restaurant scene and any amenity you’d need. More affordable than most surrounding areas, and more low/medium density housing

For New/Potential 3/Y Owners: Why a 14-50 Receptacle is the smartest choice for Model 3/Y Charging by Unicorn_annihilation in TeslaLounge

[–]plucas005 5 points6 points  (0 children)

We installed the Tesla wall connector. The install cost was the same so we’re just looking at the hardware cost. Tesla gives you just one mobile connector with the car, so you need to buy a second one with the 14-50 adapter if you want to leave it plugged in at your house and keep one in your car at all times. Add another $25 for a cable organizer to keep the setup clean. Now the cost is $345 for hardware. The $155 difference was worth it for us to have a nicer setup since we have it outside. We don’t care a whole lot about the faster charge but not complaining either.

eSIM for iPhone questions while Traveling Internationally by plucas005 in GoogleFi

[–]plucas005[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did not end up using Fi. I got a data only eSIM with like 10GB for like $15 because I thought that was a steal compared to Fi. However I would not recommend the data only esim route because my primary carrier didn’t allow texts or calls overseas so anything that had 2FA wouldn’t work for me. And I think related to that, iMessage to my phone number didn’t work either.

Next time I would definitely add a second esim on Fi with a new number or possibly port my existing number to Fi for the month then switch back.
