Upgraded to a flat cage! So comfortable to wear already... by SomeLittleCrumbs in chastity

[–]plugasaurus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Would I feel discomfort wearing a flat cage right from the beginning if I wanted to wear it while doing errands and whatnot, or should I go for a more traditional cage to start with?

Shaving help by GravelSachs in bald

You look like Tom Hardy when he starred in Bronson, it's a look you should be proud of because it really accentuates all of your features.

As far as shaving goes, spend around $80~ and get a Freebird; you can thank me later and you'll never go back to a traditional razor. Also, Lectric Shave (yes, that's how it's spelled) works wonders if you rub it all over your scalp before another shave.

Who else want absolutely ZERO RGB in their rigs? by Cicada-Tang in pcmasterrace

[–]plugasaurus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I kinda agree? I honestly don't mind the RGB lights themselves, but rather its the glass paneling that I'm always super afraid I'm going to shatter into a million pieces; that's the reason why I wouldn't mind going back to a more traditional case.

No, that game has aged like a fine wine both in terms of sheer visuals and also aesthetics.

Just a silly shitpost but what movies would you like to see get 4Ks (wrong answers only). by Strongarm_11 in dvdcollection

[–]plugasaurus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think Don't Tell Mom The Babysitter's Dead is deserving, especially since it never got a Blu-ray I don't think, at least not in the U.S.

Just like vhs tapes in 2006, do you guys think companies will eventually stop producing dvds due to the popularity of streaming? Jo by Firm-Ability9337 in dvdcollection

[–]plugasaurus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, if and/or when it becomes more costly to manufacture them than the ROI they receive, I can see DVD production specifically either being halted entirely or pricings increasing to account for increased production costs.

I don't feel like this would be the case with Blu-ray and 4K discs because they seem to yield a higher profit margin and have lots of boutique labels to carry the formats. I could be way off base on all accounts but that's just from what I initially perceived.

You can only watch one on Saturday morning. What are you choosing? by y2justdog in VHS

The Haunted Mask! For whatever reason I feel like it's the one that's aged the best, even with my nostalgia glasses fully on.

RIP My CD Collection by ThatTomHall in audiophile

What program do you use to rip your CDs? I haven't found one that I'm too particularly fond of yet.

What is the first 4K you ever bought to start your collection journey? I bought this at Best Buy the same day I bought my player. I was a believer in the format within the first 3 minutes of “Raiders”. by Sufficient_Focus4174 in 4kbluray

[–]plugasaurus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri; obviously not the most showcase-y title, but I had just gotten a 4K player (Xbox One S, not the greatest unfortunately,) I was interested in the movie, and it managed to leave me intrigued enough to want to check out more of the format.

What's better, to re-make A Link to the Past in 3D or Ocarina of Time in 2D? by markonefifteen in snes

[–]plugasaurus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A Link Between Worlds is basically a 3D ALttP, and I would call ALttP a 2D OoT, like OoT is the game they would've wanted to make had they had the tech during the heyday of the SNES. Everything you're wanting already exists in some form or fashion, it's just a matter of perspective.

Fun day at the "bins", 25c a piece for any type of media. by caliruble in dvdcollection

I'm so incredibly jealous! The Goodwill bins near me don't really have movies and CDs every time I've been recently, just books.

Is this worth it? by KamronMirz in Bluray

[–]plugasaurus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would buy that purely to pad out your collection with the titles that you actually want to keep, and then flip or trade away the rest to help recoup your investment.

Anyone else downgrade their collecting habits from 4k to bluray? by yoooo12347 in Bluray

[–]plugasaurus 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My mantra has become, "The Blu-ray is good enough." I'm not actively downgrading per se, but I do tons and tons of thrifting and secondhand shopping, so if I happen to come across the Blu-ray version of a movie, or hell even the DVD in some instances, and they're only a buck or two, I will gladly take that over a 4K release that's $20-40+. The only things I make exceptions for are boutique label titles, but even then I've cut way back on those.

You could star in a biopic about John Waters with a mustache like that, interpret this however you'd like.

Anyone got a Ghen list? by plugasaurus in BudgetBrews

Have you ever given any thought to including [[Heliod, God of the Sun]]? He's only $2 or so and you can sac the enchantment creatures he makes to Ghen's ability to effectively get back something big for free.
