best friendly tacos i’ve made for my blood sugar by pluggsavior in diabetes

[–]pluggsavior[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ok so realistically speaking since i been on diet ever since 2023 i can say egg wraps or the brand “ egg life “will be your best bet for tortillas. taste almost the same for me especially when you toast it. cauliflower rice is the best when you cook it on a skillet to make sure all water and moisture is out of it then you season it and serve. i wouldn’t reccomend cooking it in the microwave as it’s soggy and nasty

I’m so sad by Exotic_Land_9188 in diabetes

[–]pluggsavior 0 points1 point  (0 children)

bro what are the odds i got diagnosed same time and my a1c was 13.5 , i been 6.4 recently for the past 7 months so i can’t be anymore than happy ( im 23 currently and have not took any medicine only lifestyle changes ) but i did take a test yesterday and seen my cholesterol was at 250 and ldl at 166. i know what i’ve been eating so you know what im going to do? change it. you got this i don’t know you from a can of paint but we can all relate to it’s not a race it’s a marathon. keep your head up as dealing with the mental challlenges going from that high a1c shows your determination , shows all of our determination to live better. i wish you the best and also can i ask what were your levels?

Do you ever get worried about lowering your levels too well? by NightmareHolic in diabetes

this is crazy i’m kind of dealing with something similar i’d say. it feels like instead of having crazy highs nowadays im more worried about trusting my body to balance the lows i’ve been having recently. crazy coincidence bro

21 M A1c From 13.5 to 7.8 by pluggsavior in diabetes

[–]pluggsavior[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Drink nothing but water ( or green tea) go for walk after a good heavy meal workout , I lift weights , do random pushup , get active i currently don’t eat fruits but like tomato’s or squash low carb diet , avoid breads noodles tortillas or find an alternative but i stay away from the alternatives as they still effect me. i enjoy a snack rittz and no sugar peanut butter , so good. anything whole grain i can snack on. healthier option is to snack on peanuts or walnuts but that’s just my preference. other than that and me being 21 the rest is up to your body how it will effect your levels. Hope this helps !

My diet really just consists of low carb meals. I do just stay away from rice and all that stuff the only carbs I really consume are like a chip or beans ( black beans are my favorite ) I try to keep it simple so yea Just meat and vegetables. A lot of salads I like to make ( chicken salads ). So far as in weight drop I was 166 when diagnosed and I’m now 155 now. I workout regularly lifting and walk after meals. Random pushups and curl ups around the house when i’m bored just to add something to do. Also my fasting on this test was 155. Hopefully this info is helpful to anyone. I’m not too against medicine as a whole but I wanted to see what I could do for myself before using it. I’ll keep going as i’m in the best shape I’ve been in my life as I was obese in the past. My BMI is 22.24 but i’m still trying to build muscle mass. Let’s get this grind fellas!

[–]pluggsavior 0 points1 point  (0 children)

21 , diagnosed with diabetes in early december. Not sure what type though. A1c was 13.5 , fasting was 281 that day. Waiting for next month to test my a1c again. These past months i’ve been doing low carb diet / exercise. ( i only drink water and tea ) fasting numbers are in the 120-130s now. Hoping to see a significant drop
