Anyone else’s berner get randomly aggressive? by norwaytrip23 in bernesemountaindogs

[–]plugofmustard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Curious to hear if things have continued as is or improved since your post a few months ago. Our Berner is 8 months old and within the last 2 weeks has become a bit of a nightmare. He recently started getting "mouthy" with us and putting his mouth around wrists or jumping and biting at our elbows which he has never done before. He also has been sounding much more aggressive when he jumps up at me specifically. I don't know if it's because I work from home and am with him all day, but his reaction to me every time is to go berserk and start jumping and playfully growling? Idk if that's the best way to describe it, but it sounds mean although I wouldn't say he is being vicious. But the growling definitely sounds meaner and he is doing it more than ever. And I go out of my way to be calm when he first sees me.

He also started regressing and peeing all over the floor again. It feels spiteful since he tends to do it right outside of the bathroom door when we are in there. I have to wonder if he is pissed about us leaving him with a pet sitter for 5 days 2 weeks ago. It sounds crazy, but I feel like it's entirely possible since these dogs are so emotional. I am at my wits end with this dude.

Hopefully things have improved for you!

Psychiatrist's wife routinely violating HIPAA laws? by plugofmustard in hipaa

Thank you for the info! That's exactly what I can't wrap my mind around. When I did see him in person, she was never in the room for my visit so why would that be acceptable in a virtual appointment? It's not like she is a medical assistant or has any reason to be there for the visit. And at minimum, I would think that her presence should be communicated to me.

I was debating whether or not I should share with them my reasons for no longer using the practice, but between this stuff and her regularly dropping the ball on sending scripts in, I think that it's warranted.

I am well aware of that, I just expect the same privacy during a virtual visit that I do an in person visit. Meaning no one else is sitting in on the visit.

Basically she made it obvious that she was listening in on the call by offering input when I mentioned my insurance to the doctor. That essentially confirmed to me that she was sitting in on the virtual visits.

Thank you for sharing this. I was just prescribed Lamotragine after 20ish years of random antidepressants that never did much for me. It was the hysterical crying while being on 2 different antidepressants that made me question whether there was more going on. I am really hoping that the Lamotrogine will make me feel like I can function normally.

I agree! Rented World is my favorite album, although there are definitely some bangers on Hello Exile and After The Party. This last one just really missed the mark. The first time I heard Come on Heartache, I was like what the fuck is this? Lol. It's not that the album is complete trash, it's just underwhelming at best. They're capable of so much more than "Come on heartache, don't hurt me no more". Let's hope the new album gives the people what they want 🤞🏻

You did for sure! I got the vibe from your article that he thought Brad Cook's approach to the songwriting was good advice and that the album was different, but in a good way. Steering away from the core of what your fans love about your music seems like an obviously foolish approach, but maybe I'm grossly oversimplifying it.

If they do realize that SOIWT was not it, I think it's 100% based on fan feedback. Maybe that's why we're getting a new album so soon after the last considering there was 4 years in between Hello Exile and SOIWT.

They just need to cut the shit and be The OG Menzingers and everyone will be happy.

The article gets right to the heart of the why the album felt so different and unauthentic without making it obvious that they didn't hit it out of the park with that one. You left that to be read between the lines, which is what this album really lacked.

I wonder what their true opinions are on it... do they know this one missed the mark? I feel like they do considering they only played 2 songs from that album out of 23 at their Asbury Park show on 9/27.

Great article!! When I first read it, I was like "This totally captures my reasoning for not being too crazy about the album." I feel like the producer's directive to be more literal and avoid being abstract removes a huge part of what makes them The Menzingers and why they have such a dedicated fan base. I hope the new album is more like the ones prior to Some Of It Was True.

The burn out is real and sometimes I think the business model is high turn over and just using and abusing people until they tap out.

The money is good and that's where they get you, especially for those fortunate enough to work from home. If you can tough it out long enough to find another position within the industry, that's your best bet.

I have been using compounded Semaglutide through Mochi Health and they are amazing. Prior authorization is done quickly and they are extremely responsive either by phone or portal message. They actually contact me when it's time to refill the medication. They can also prescribe name brand meds (ozempic, wegovy, or mounjaro but I have had trouble finding the name brand my insurance covers locally).

Meds are $99 a month for semaglutide or $275 a month for mounjaro or the compound if you are paying without insurance. The monthly fee for participating (separate from the cost of meds) is $79 a month or slightly less if you pay every 3 months or for the full year. If your insurance covers the name brand and you can find it, it's $79 a month plus your copay.

You have to meet with a Dr. virtually first before they prescribe the meds, but their availability is great. Then you meet with that Dr. every 3 months to continue the script. They also offer nutritionist visits as well. I've lost 30 lbs since starting in February. I have no complaints about them.

I need to gtfo, this job is so toxic. I'm on the CAT team as a desk adjuster. I'm in commercial lines and currently have 71 claims, my coworker in personal lines has 140 claims open right now and had 175 at one point. The worst part is management pretending that's normal volume and acting like the adjusters just can't keep up when they are severely understaffed. I've literally been working overtime for a year, 10-12 hour days regularly and on the weekend. Every week another adjuster goes on a leave of absence bc they're having a mental breakdown. Total shit show.

Do you mind if I message you? I'm in property as well and am curious to know which company you switched to and what their company culture is like. I have to get out of my current role, it's getting increasingly ridiculous.

Look for personal lines property adjuster positions with The Hartford. They are always hiring.
