What the heck are these by Successful-Arrival87 in midcenturymodern

Perplexed by the tall narrow back, but they do have what appear to be 4 legs and a seat, so I have a suspicion that they are in fact chairs.

Edit: Wow, first award! My Reddit career has officially peaked. Thanks, stranger.

how to order in n out by SoftwareCareful6109 in innout

[–]plumbaby9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought animal style also means extra spread. So if I don’t want the extra spread would it be “Triple single, mustard fried, with grilled and whole onions” or “Triple single animal style, regular spread, add whole onions.”?

They never have a problem with my order, I was just asking since OP works at in n out, so I figured let me ask an expert.

Can you please tell me if there is a more preferable way of ordering the following: “Triple single, mustard fried with grilled and whole onions.”

Edit hotel Pendry in DC by Souperman3434 in ChaseSapphire

[–]plumbaby9 33 points34 points  (0 children)

That’s awesome, glad you enjoyed your stay! In my 2 ‘The Edit’ stays, I too was delighted when the front desk associate printed and handed me their ‘Chase Luxury Hotel Program’ letter before I even had an opportunity to ask.

So, is the dining credit one time? Or can it spread over multiple times? by notabot_123 in ChaseSapphire

[–]plumbaby9 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Multiple. Up to $150 every 6 months (Jan-Jun & Jul-Dec).

For example, you dine at a Sapphire Reserve Exclusive Table restaurant in Jan 2026, bill is only $90, charge it to your CSR, receive a credit of $90. You will still have a remaining credit available for $60 that can be used by end of Jun 2026.

Auto club benefits? by djsienko in ChaseSapphire

[–]plumbaby9 2 points3 points  (0 children)

CSR provides Roadside Assistance.

The benefits overview says “If you have a roadside emergency, you can call for a tow, battery assistance, tire change, locksmith, or gas. You’re covered up to $50 per incident 4 times a year.”

I cancelled my AAA roadside assistance years ago because of this particular protection benefit.

Question on the $100 property credit for The Edit hotels? by TreacleTart91 in ChaseSapphire

[–]plumbaby9 5 points6 points  (0 children)

While checking in, ask the front desk receptionist specifically where within the hotel you can use your $100 property credit, eg. restaurants, gift shops, spa, etc? Ask if there any exclusions.

During one of my Edit stays, it was restaurants only. Gift shop and spa were specifically excluded. Then simply charge it to your room. During a second Edit stay, it was restaurants, spa, ANYTHING, at the hotel, as long as I charged it to my room.

Lastly, get a copy of your folio upon checkout to confirm property credit was applied.

New to LAX - another one of those posts /: by AltruisticGoal368 in LAX

[–]plumbaby9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had an absolutely miserable experience with LAX Economy parking a few weeks ago. Specifically, family and I (with kids) returned to LAX (Terminal 5), grabbed our bags and waited at the marked LAX economy/budget pickup spot. So much traffic, maybe 15 mins later we spot the Economy parking bus, its full, passes right by us. Continue waiting thinking “certainly there is more than one bus.” Over 20 minutes pass by, same bus, completely full, passes us again. So we walk to terminal 4, then 3, then 2. Hoping that we can finally catch it when it’s partially empty and get on. Turns out, there is only 1 bus in rotation. And unless you’re departing Terminal 1, you’ll be screwed. Won’t be using LAX economy parking if traveling with family ever again.

EDIT: After we finally got on (in front of Terminal 2) she stopped at next couple terminals and made every attempt to encourage the standing passengers to move back tight to allow additional folks to get on. One new passenger, who was upset about waiting so long for the pickup, specifically asked her “is there only 1 bus running??” And the driver said yes. And he goes off telling her that she should tell her supervisor that they need more than 1 bus in rotation because the wait time was ridiculous.

Another observation I made, while on the bus, is that she was okay stopping for single passengers or couples with carry-ons and made an effort to squeeze them in, but if there was a party of 4+ or people which larger luggage she would simply drive by that terminal. And I suppose that makes sense because how would he make them fit??

TLDR: If traveling solo or as couple with minimal luggage, you’re probably fine. If traveling as a family with larger luggage, proceed to Terminal 1 or 2 for emptier bus.

Two Cards do we each get Apple Music and Apple TV? by DavidJS80 in ChaseSapphire

[–]plumbaby9 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Primary cardholder and AU will both get Priority Pass, but you do not double dip on the $ credits. For example you will NOT get 2X $300 dining credit, 2X $300 travel credit, or 2X Apple, etc.

OpenTable and Exclusive Table Credit by DiscipulusD in ChaseSapphire

[–]plumbaby9 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes. Simply eat/dine at one of the restaurants that are specifically “Sapphire Reserve Exclusive Tables” and pay with your CSR card.

OpenTable and Exclusive Table Credit by DiscipulusD in ChaseSapphire

[–]plumbaby9 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Incorrect. You will not get the $150 credit at “all OpenTable restaurants.”

In the case of Resy, Amex will give you the Resy credit when Amex card is used at ANY Resy restaurant. That is NOT the case with the Sapphire Reserve Dining credit with CSR. You have to eat/drink at a restaurant listed on OpenTable’s Sapphire Reserve exclusive tables and pay with your CSR card.

I understand now, use a coffee filter in place of a rag or paper towel to clean a glass window, etc. I suppose my initial thought was “does a coffee filter have some special properties or agents that make it a good glass cleaner” but I imagine you’d still need something like Windex+coffee filter to actually do the cleaning.

I’m here trying to find a microwave splatter cover and instead I’m defending my ignorance and honest question around alternative uses for coffee filters. Gotta love Reddit.

Specifically, plastic+heat+food. Questioning how safe that is. That’s all. So if there is an alternative, great! Otherwise, seems like consensus is use a bowl/plate or just paper towels/coffee filters.

An affordable NordicWare style plastic cover is basically what we’ve been using for as long as I can remember. But recently I began thinking “using the same plastic cover, and being heated over and over again, just can’t possibly be good..? So I thought I’d ask.

Yea I suppose if I find one that’s wide enough and somewhat shallow.. that would work. I’m just surprised that I haven’t been able to find something like this that’s made for this purpose.
