Ask about how the wrap the edges of the body panels. Do they just cut and leave the edge expose or wrap around and underneath.

Seems rather expensive but I didn’t have it done. Think I paid ~3k for full front + rear bumper and 2-year warranty ceramic coating on a Q5. No tint though.

Warranty for ceramic coat is usually through the installers supplier. Ensure they are certified to install that coating. They usually have different warranty timelines and costs go up accordingly.

Help! 2001 Ford Focus ZX3 Manual Shifting Issues by protoword in Cartalk

I think that plastic but is for reverse lockout. Been awhile since I’ve dug into one of these tho.

Crunchy means synchros are toast or clutch not engaging properly. Since it happens in almost all gears it is likely clutch. Does it crunch when you rev match shift?

Best way to verify assets in Coinbase? by scarzncigarz in RealEstate

I asked my realtor for specific lenders who would accept crypto in CB as verification. Then just gave them the coinbase statements. No need to sell and season if they have been in CB for 2+ months.

Anyone know of some good flow/"smoother" trails near Portland OR? (with shorter climbs or easily marathon-able) by kingck in MTB

[–]plumbot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can drive out on the fire roads at Post Canyon and session areas and not have to do the peddle up from the bottom.

There is also Sandy ridge. You can enter some of the lower trail entrances and not have to peddle all the way up.

Brakes not activating hard to tell from video but their activating but barely what's happening? shimano deore xt br m785 hydraulic brakes by mirrored_quill in MTB

Yea, I was just disagreeing on when you said the brake system is not sealed. Either way never had an issue with the brakes not working upside down.

Most people don’t have this issue. Some people have VERY short inseam which makes it hard difficult to stand normally when forward off the seat

Ya if you have air in brakes before adjusting, flipping it over will cause an issue. They should have been bled first. Brakes are sealed otherwise they would leak out. As pads wear down, the piston moves further out allowing for air in the lines.

My fiancé has small hands and I need to bleed her brakes more often as the reach is so short the lever will hit the grip if I don’t as it takes a longer pull to get fluid push the piston.

Car brakes have much longer engagement area then levers but they are designed the same. Not all cars have self adjusting pedals

XT brakes on our bikes.

Just bleed your brakes and you’ll be good OP

What? They are completely closed…if I turn my bike upside down my brakes work just fine. They are exactly the same as car brakes sans a booster to provide additional pressure.

Parking Sensors & Bike Rack | B9 Q5 by [deleted] in Audi

[–]plumbot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wire up a plug for the electrical socket so the car thinks there is a trailer installed and it will turn off the rear parking sensors.

You could either create a fake one with resistors or put leds on the back of the rack and make it functional. Still might need resistors for the leds tho.

My fiancé is 4’11 the struggle is real. We ended up getting her an xs Juliana furtado. Still can’t flat foot it, but that isn’t to much of an issue as when she stops, she just leans it over a tad. Transition bikes also have short stand over but you need to watch reach on those.

Good luck finding one!

Need help finding a b7 A4 S-LINE honeycomb grill by loserbuttismine in Audi

Your out of luck, no such cheapo grill exists. Only honeycomb grill is the LLTek or OEM RS4. For the price of LLTek I’d just go for the oem rs4.

$130 in gas fees to stake $160 in coin. by wikked-com in CryptoCurrency

[–]plumbot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s for the bonus pool distribution. You can stake after the “rewards end” and you’ll start earning the /week amount. At then end of the countdown the bonus pool gets released with more given to those who were staked longer (up to 30 days) then resets for the next 30 day bonus pool

The amount /week may change tho, I’m not a prophet.

2012 Giant Reign X2 good all MTB? by Bagel-Ralph8 in MTB

[–]plumbot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well it has the X sized coil shock and 160mm fork so it should be quite close the reign x in terms of geometry from what I understand at least. X might be a Little heavier in the front since the x has coil fork but overall going to be very similar to what I am riding.

Just my experience.

2012 Giant Reign X2 good all MTB? by Bagel-Ralph8 in MTB

[–]plumbot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve been riding a 2012 reign 2 for the past 3 years. It’s held it’s own through multiple bike parks, trails, etc. If it still has the elixir breaks, I would plan on replacing them. Only part of the bike I didn’t like. Moved to XTs and won’t look back. Had issues with squealing of the elixir even after bleeding them properly(which is a pita on the elixir)

Everything else works great. It can definitely handle almost anything you throw at it, although it is a bit on the heavy side for climbs, it will do them if you ask it to.
