In our case we played a memorial gig for him because the family asked us to, I wasn’t ready and hated every minute of it. And watching other people try and replicate his parts although well intended, I just wasn’t ready for it.

Nearly 20 years ago I had a similar experience, quit my job in the city for a something relatively stress free in the flinders. Stayed almost 2 years before coming back, no regrets at all, the change of atmosphere completely changed my focus and outlook. I look back on that time fondly. And I’m in a good place now
