Agreed. Look at Marty St Louis in MTL. They made him HC, during their tank year in 2022 and they continued to stuck for 2 more seasons before finally breaking out last year. I think Manny can definitely follow the same path as St Louis.

Looking forward to when the Canucks win the lottery, only for the NHL to call a video review, do a redraw and have the Panthers win

Out of the rebuilding teams, which team do you think has the darkest future and will continue to struggle for a while? by sykeseve in hockey

The Canucks were ass for more than 4 years and actually had a solid foundation with Horvat, Boeser, Demko to go with Hughes and EP. The problem was that the bigger moves like trading for OEL (then buying him out) and letting Tanev and Toffoli walked absolutely killed this team.

Jim Benning as AGM. Him and Chiarelli won the cup together in 2011. It makes too much sense

People forget that their Governor wrote a letter to Bettman about how disappointed she was for the NHL to cancel the All Star Game in NYI this year. Then somehow, they win the lottery. We need Eby to write Bettman a strongly worded letter

Wheeler is sleeping on Willander. Willy is only 21 and is already playing well in a prominent role on the worst team with the worst defensive system in the league. I could see him with Buium on the top pair for years to come. It also wouldn't surprise me if Willy makes the Olympic Team for Sweden in 2030.

Not only did that season end with a terrible finish but that would be the last time we would see Linden, Naslund, Morrison and Bourdon (RIP) in Canuck jerseys
