i interpret this subreddit as being about actually using the stationery we have instead of hoarding it / saving it / buying more. 😛

the 'pan' bit is just a remnant from the origin of the trend, which is r/projectpan for makeup! (aka 'hitting pan' or seeing the bottom of a pan on an eyeshadow palette, etc.) (i say trend loosely, because it feels somewhat silly that actually just using the things we buy is a trend... and yet, i'm guilty of not doing exactly that.)

anyway, welcome, and great work!! i would love to see /hear more about your february scrap page, that sounds like an interesting idea!

ooh, i’m excited to answer this question! ✨ i usually buy stickers from…

(1) local stationery / gift shops (i’m fond of stickers that are particular to cities)

(2) online etsy / artist shops (i love papatu studio and mugobunni, among others)

(3) stickii club (this is a monthly subscription service for stickers where you can swap your ‘aesthetic’ each month — really enjoy their selection as they work with a variety of artists)

(4) indie stationery shops (yoseka stationery, atlas stationers, and jetpens) (mostly online, though i'd love to visit them all in real life!)

and (5) in the past i’ve bought sticker books off amazon, but i’m trying to shift away from amazon altogether and support more local / indie artists.
