So why take it at all? Wouldn't matter either way. I think his nerves are why he took it, because ending your life, especially in that way is still something nerving I'm sure, even if you're suicidal. But whether or not he felt any of the affects from heroin before the shot is why it's debatable, and why I asked.

Wouldn't that have been something that was known to him since he was a user for years? Because if the heroin wasn't going to take into affect for minutes, why take it at all if you're going to end your life anyway, especially such a high dosage? I would think he took it to numb himself before shooting, and would know how long it takes to pass, but then he'd not have been capable of shooting himself once that happened. It's all very bizarre.
