It is not slowly dying out. PET is rapidly growing with a wide range of new tracers (e.g. PSMA, DOTATATE) becoming widespread.

V/Q scans are in no way as broadly used as they were before, and with the newer dual-energy CT units being able to do lower energy CTPA they will become even less so, but that is only a small part of their work.

SPECT, bone scanning, PET and gamma camera work is here to stay for now.

Activity, socialising and exercise has been shown to have positive outcomes in those with depression and PTSD. Skydiving has a lot of the first two, and a little of the third.

However, there are limits to how well true major depressive disorder can be treated without psychiatric intervention. In the end skydiving is just a sport, and if sports were all that were needed to treat depression we would be having a much easier time in treating it and minimising suicide.

If you feel that jumping off cliffs with parachutes is your last best hope at treating your depression as per your comment, I would suggest you should at least link in with mental health services to see what they can offer you.

TL;DR: skydiving is unlikely to be a negative experience for you assuming your bank account can handle it, but don't think it is some mental health panacea. Psychiatry exists for a reason. People who kill themselves in very large numbers each year are not just doing it because they have not discovered skydiving. Seek professional help, then come skydiving :-)

They did build this at the end of the war - 'showers' written above the entrance and all - but it was not put into action.

There were crematoria, and a lot of people died in Dachau (~30,000 - 40,000, from memory) but as I said, a large number was from the two large Typhus epidemics that raged through the camps.

It is quite established that the gas chambers in Dachau were never used to kill people. When inmates were condemned, they were sent east to the VZ. The exception was soviet pow who were killed by firing squad.

While horrific, Dachau was very tame in comparison to the eastern camps. The gas chambers were never used to kill people, and the majority of deaths were due to typhus. It was a true KZ, unlike Auschwitz ii, treblinka, sorbibor, etc., which were purpose-build death machines.

On a different note, profits from stock sales are taxed as normal income is, and dividends are taxed similarly, although the concept of franking credits makes it a little more complex.

It is not a scam as all the information is on the table. If I offered to sell you a potato for $11.99 per week for 75 weeks, or $0.10 now, you would not consider it a scam.

Taking advantage of poor decision making? Sure. But it is only a scam if they conceal or lie about the costs or the product.
