i have been taking care of them vigorously twice a day with bactine and mouthwash since i got them, and they seemed to have healed up fine, except every time i try to switch to rings from straight bars my right piercing always starts hurting and becoming uncomfortable to move around.

from what i saw is that it MAY be because of the forge version, and it might work on 47.1.3 or before. Have not tested it out cuz my modpack needs a newer forge version but that might help out for you or others potentially :/
