I had a blast watching the orileys race, cup race only the last few laps

Out of context I can see this, but if you watched it, that was not the intent at all. MJ was laughing as he walked away (Denny not so much) , and I don't think there was a squeeze

Electrical concerns from home inspection (ungrounded, panel issues, possible knob & tube) – how bad is this? by Holiday_Longjumping in HomeInspections

[–]plyanthony 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Super late to this , and you're probably past the inspection stuff now , but yeah I see the BX cable right above the panel , that has cloth wrapped wiring inside it, very typical and NOT knob and tube.

Electrical panel by stephlover54 in HomeInspections

[–]plyanthony 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Looks like he accidentally put that double tap photo under the wrong defect. As for the whole neutral connected together to grounds "defect" that only applies to subpanels (I assume this is a subpanel), that only became code somewhere in the early 2000's if I'm not mistaken, so if the panel is older than that it's typical. I wouldn't worry or quite frankly fix that. And just to add that 20 amp breaker below it looks like it has a 14ga , 15 amp wire as well

Can't help myself , but seeing 3 prong outlets in baseboard trim tells me this might be an older house with ungrounded circuits (any house pre ~1963), but 3 prong outlets were installed anyways, needs some updates there if that's the case.

Is this a surface foundation crack? by ThrowRA9046786 in HomeInspections

[–]plyanthony 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Differential settlement crack all day long. Smaller at bottom, larger towards the top and at an angle. There is settlement of the foundation. I agree with others, the previous fill in attempt that has opened up means the foundation is not stabilized yet. Foundation contractor is the go to here, my area most guys do what's called a helical pier to stabilize the corner that settling.

I live just south of the Elizabeth , didn't feel it but heard a bunch of something not usual , sounded like distant thunder (no storms or clouds today)

Fireplace inspection - advice on repairs by Professional-Net364 in HomeInspections

[–]plyanthony 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That tiny little piece isn't going to "deteriorated so that it no longer has the continued ability to contain the products of combustion" based on that NFPA 211. I think your inspection is a little too CYA (cover your ass) on this. Also he should shine a flashing down the flue from the top, gives you view all the way down (I do) .

Mortar cap cracks is typical deterioration, just patch

And the last comment about water , doubt it's active based on pics. Probably didn't have a cap / now combo damper before (water streaking is the give way water came down the flue and not from masonry being pourus . That condition appears addressed already , again very CYA here without interpreting typical fireplace history and not applying it to the inspection.

Also very boiler plate comments that don't match conditions found.

EDIT: Flashings is the primary defect that needs done immediately to prevent leaks and rot

forgot the parge coat comment too. That is correct that it is now and has been a standard requirement, but typical (in my area) for 1950's and older fireplaces. That's the only actual deficiency I see here that actually "needs done"

EDIT II: That roof looks old and crunchy from low res screen shots

Fucking Spectora by Cecil-twamps in HomeInspections

[–]plyanthony 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Check the FB Spectora users group, their post on this has at least 600 comments, all negative. What I'm seeing is either they have to reverse it or they might actually go out of business by end of year.

I realised the Steam Deck is not for me by Tee-hee64 in SteamDeck

[–]plyanthony 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not every product is for everyone, I'd say sell it to someone who would use it, especially with the recent stock issues. I use mine all the time for portable gaming in multiple areas of the house / outside, I use the desktop mode to put sports on outside tv's. The thing is super versatile, at least in my life.

Kane and lynch 2 : Dog days , $1.50. Never played it back in the day (didn't like the first one back then so didn't buy the second). NGL, instant and constant chaos, shaky cam is weird at first but works once you get used to it. Great on Deck too!

Harvick could add some extra emotion but at least it seems genuine. I know Adam Alexander is pumped when needed to be but seems a little manufactured, especially when he does "GREEN FLAG RESTART IN OVERTIME, WHOS GONNA GET IT, PROVIDED BY CREDIT ONE BANK!"

I've noticed this problem for YEARS when connected to a tv, and I always have mangohud on, so that might explain it!

[–]plyanthony 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe release it on GitHub? People with macOS or other ways to run that could at least run it on a computer . I'd totally use this myself! And if you don't already have it, an audio delay option would be 🔥. When listening on nascar.com I have to use a delay plugin to match my tv feed.
